In its fourth running, The Beautide will have a new home in 2026.

Held on Saturday night, 1 August, the Launceston Pacing Club (LPC) will host the showcase event after the first three years were held in Hobart.

The race conditions for the $80,000 Beautide (2200m) remain the same, though the winner will no longer receive a slot in the TAB Eureka, following Tasracing’s decision not to renew a slot in that race.

Magician won the inaugural Beautide in 2023, before Fighter Command went back-to-back in the past two years.

The Beautide, restricted to eligible 3YO & 4YOs, sits only behind the Group 1 Ladbrokes Tasmania Cup as the richest race on the Tasmanian harness calendar. In 2026, LAFM has been announced as the naming rights partner.

The LPC will host a Beautide Cocktail Party & Calcutta at Sporties Hotel in Launceston on Friday night before the race and has secured the attendance of well-known racing figures, Gareth Hall and Adam Hamilton, to maximise the event’s promotion.

The Beautide race night will also include the $20,000 Darrel Rockliff Graduate for open class pacers, and the $14,000 Final of the King Series for Tasbred fillies and mares.

Full race conditions for The Beautide can be found here.
