All Bets Off was one of North America’s most outstanding colt pacers in the 2010’s, winning 30 races including five Grade One’s and $3 million in stakes and taking a mark of 1:48.4.
The Bettor’s Delight horse is now matching his greatness as a racehorse in the siring field, producing the winners of more than $12 million with six in the 1:50 list including the Canadian 2YO Filly of the Year Pass Line and the Little Brown Jug heat winner Moment Is Here.
All Bets Off will be represented by a filly from his first ‘down under’ crop at the Australian Pacing Gold Autumn Mix Sale to be held online on May 24 and 25.
It is Lot 16, a filly from the Sportswriter mare Feelinkindasporty, a half-sister to six in 2:00 and a member of the same family as the former Australian 2YO of the Year Lombo Rapida. She is Tasbred and Vicbred eligible.
Vincent, Australia’s leading colonial bred stallion this season, has a single entry in Lot 14, a yearling gelding out of the APG heat winner That’s Bettor, a Bettor’s Delight mare closely related to a swag of ‘black type’ performers such as Zeuss Bromac, Don’t Hold Back, Garnet River and Savvy Bromac.
Lot 13, a chestnut colt named Grit And Wealth, is a product of the outstanding NZ pacer Tintin In America, the sire of the USA Horse of the Year and world champion Shartin. He’s a grandson of the Oaks winner Nickle Miss and a descendant of the broodmare hen Soky’s Number.
The colt is eligible for the NSW Breeders Challenge, Bathurst Gold Crown and Vicbred.
The Art Major horse Follow The Stars, a former NZ and Australian 2YO Colt of the Year now making his mark as a sire, is represented by Lot 15, a yearling colt from the famed ‘Bonus’ family in Victoria.
He’s the first foal out of a half-sister to the good Menangle winner Linyanti and a close relative of the Group 3 winner Deedenuto, the Vicbred champion By My Side and the Victoria Youthful winner Whipair.
The Captaintreacherous horse Captain Ahab, whose first crop are racing as three-year-olds in Western Australia, has a yearling filly in the sale from one of the country’s fast moving families.
Lot 17 in the catalogue, the bay filly is a half-sister to five winners including a Group 2 placegetter and is from a Life Sign daughter of supermum New Arrival and thus a member of the same tribe as La Speranza, Tardelli, Armida and Caesar Augustus.
Goodtime Sammy, a WA-based son of Somebeachsomewhere with an excellent ratio of winners-to-starters, has the biggest draft numerically at the sale with five lots - all fillies and all consigned by Kevin Spurr’s Spurrs Stud.
The consignment includes a half-sister to the Group placegetter Sunshine Swift (Lot 18), the first foal of the WA Sales Classic heat winner Temuka’s Girl (Lot 24), a filly out of a half-sister to the cup class pacers Northview Punter and Announcement (Lot 19), a filly from a sister to the 3YO Filly of the Year Nemeeshar (Lot 20) and a granddaughter of the $130,000 earner Racy Lacy (Lot 23).
Art Major’s Derby winning son Renaissance Man, the sire of the winners of more than $3 million to date, is dually represented at the sale.
The first one is Lot 21, a filly from a Rock N Roll Heaven half-sister to six sub 2:00 winners including the WA Golden Slipper winner Aussie Reactor and the Binshaw Classic victor Aussie Delight.
Lot 22, the second half of the Renaissance Man draft, is a filly out of the Group 3 winner and Oaks placegetter Talk About Mach, the dam of the WA Sales Classic runner-up Songkran.
