The Bathurst Harness Racing Club is pleased to announce the appointment of three independent directors to its Board in Mr Lachlan Cisco, Ms Fiona McWilliam and Ms Sarah Hunter.
These appointments strengthen the Club’s commitment to governance, financial management, industry expertise and community engagement.
Mr Cisco brings extensive experience in external audit and compliance services across mutual financial institutions, commercial enterprises, local government, clubs, not-for-profit organisations and education.
In his role at Crowe Australasia, Mr Cisco has worked closely with Boards and Audit Committees, including as Auditor for other harness racing and racing clubs in New South Wales. Mr Cisco offers valuable knowledge in corporate governance, financial risk management and industry benchmarking to support the Club’s growth and risk alignment.
Ms McWilliam has previously served as Marketing and Sponsorship Manager for the Bathurst Harness Racing Club. With a strong background in event management, marketing and a family connection to harness racing, Ms McWilliam brings both professional expertise and a passion for the sport.
Ms Hunter is an experienced governance and advisory Board member who has led high-performing sales and marketing teams for a global animal health organisation, acted as a business advisor with the Australian Government’s Entrepreneurs’ Programme (Strengthening Business Service), and recently co-founded Fable and Stay, a venture supporting Central West tourism businesses. Ms Hunter looks forward to applying her skills, enthusiasm and commercial expertise to help the Club deliver on its strategic goals.
