Burnie and Hobart are the two venues for harness racing this weekend, with 16 races in total.

Read the regular thoughts of trainer/driver Mark Yole:

Burnie 8 November

Gottahaveahobbie: Going very well. He was a winner here at the last meeting; I expect him to ping the tapes and lead; he’ll be very hard to beat.

Major Ideal: Honest mare, the draw is tricky, but she will win a race when the cards fall her way; I can only hope this is the race.

Online Model: Going better than form suggests; ideal draw is to use her gate speed and find the front; from there, she will be right in the finish.

Cinocal Jamane: A lovely winner last Sunday night when racing first up from a spell. The draw isn’t ideal, but it could be worse. I think she can be in the mix again.

Oneofthelads: Racing consistently without much luck. He loves the Burnie track, but the draw is very tricky. He can do some work in his races, so I may look to put him into it mid-race. Should be in the finish.

Messerati: Going along well at present. He comes up with a great draw, and with a good beginning, he should be right in the firing line. I think his run last week shows he is up to winning a race like this, barring any bad luck.

Ranieri: Really racing in a purple patch of form currently. The draw is a bit tricky, but in the small field, I think he will be finishing off very strongly and certainly make his presence felt.

Keayang Wolfpack: A nice winner in Hobart last week. He draws to run a very similar race here and, if he can lead, will take plenty of catching.

Hobart 10 November

Park Lane: Never looked to run on last week when sitting behind the leader and eventual winner. From the draw I envision I will drive him with a cold sit, and he should finish off much better.

Remember Me Now: It was a bit disappointing last week when I fired off the arm to lead, then just didn’t finish off the race. He gets the ideal draw here and will lead on his ear. Hopefully he can turn things around and be in the finish.

Cinocal Jamane: One that is backing up from Burnie on Friday night. Was a good winner last week when driven with a sit. I will drive similarly here, and if the gaps come, I should be finishing off well.

Keayang Kevin: He’s been a model of consistency since arriving in the state but hasn’t been able to win one yet. This is a very tough ask, but I believe he will be in the mix again.

Yappas Courage: A newcomer to the state from Victoria. This guy trialled quite nicely at Carrick last week. He has come up with a horror draw so I will have to go back at the start. His form suggests he will be very competitive if not for the poor draw, so it might not be a surprise to be in the money.

Deadly Assassin: I thought he was going well, however was a little average last week. This race doesn’t look all that strong, but this draw is a bit tricky. I will drive him for luck, but if he gets it, he could be the blowout.

Major Lester: Flying at the moment. Gets an ideal draw over his favourite distance. Should sit leaders back, and if gets the sprint lane, will be right in the finish.
