Regarding the barrier draw for the QBRED 2YO Colts and Geldings Triad Final and reviewing the footage it became apparent that the numbers six (6) and nine (9) had been held upside down.

Both numbers had lines underneath to indicate which number was which.

Following consultation with the Chief Steward, Senior Harness Racing Manager and reviewing the footage again the decision was made to swap the two affected horses / barriers as the video clearly shows:

A) the barrier number for horse Bet Hes Sweet was held upside down (the barrier 6 ball was initially called as number 9 and held upside down)

B) the barrier number for horse Cattlecall was held upside down (the barrier 9 ball was initially called as number 6 and held upside down)

While the barrier draws for the QBRED Triad Finals had been released on social media the release of the full set of race fields for Albion Park Harness on Saturday August 22 were delayed from release until this issue was resolved.

The trainers of the affected horses were both contacted to advise of the situation and we apologize to the connections of both horses.
