The Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sale, conducted by Ebert & Co at Redcliffe Paceway on Sunday, grossed a creditable $367,500 for 28 lots.
The average price was $13,125.
The top price paid was $35,000 for a Pebble Beach filly out of the dual Group 1 winner Good Lookin Girl, consigned by Kevin Seymour’s Solid Earth Pty. Ltd.
A Rock N Roll Heaven filly from the Mach Three mare Harlequin Bromac NZ, consigned by Darren Wearne and prepared by Burwood Stud, realised $32,000.
The highest paid for a colt was $30,000 for the Downbytheseaside colt out of the QBred Triad winner Aqua Miss, also offered by Seymour.
Another colt, by A Good Chance from the Badlands Hanover mare Burwood Beauty, was knocked down for $26,000.
Logan Village horseman Jonah Hutchinson and Martine Dwyer were both active at the sale, purchasing two lots each. Hutchinson secured two progeny by The Storm Inside in colt for $9,000 and a filly for $4,500, while Dwyer outlaid $20,000 for the Captain Crunch colt from Getoutnwalk and $7,000 for The Storm Inside-Minarua filly.
