Redcliffe will host the Trot Rods finale program on Wednesday night.
And, if the past few years of the one lap extravaganza are to be replicated, Rockon Rocky will be surpassed for the fastest time in 2025.
Rockon Rocky is currently the clubhouse leader after stopping the clock with a time of 64.04 seconds last week.
The past three editions of Trot Rods have been won by a horse competing on the last night and with a time that has bettered 64 seconds on each occasion.
In 2024, it came down to the last heat for Nathan Rothwell and Hold Onto Ya Bling to scorch 'The Triangle' in 63.86 seconds, while in 2023 it was Angus Garrard and Vanity Bay (63.76 seconds).
Cam Hart and Just Dessy took honours in 2022 in 63.46 seconds, a time which still stands as the record.
That will not stop trainer Melissa Gillies keeping her fingers and toes crossed that history is not repeated in 2025 and her four-year-old can grip on to the title.
On Monday evening, a driver draft was completed for the 10 heats this Wednesday night.
Matt Elkins, Trista Dixon, Taleah McMullen, Jack Chapple and Luke McCarthy all made their selections of which horses they will partner on the night.
With the race ratings ascending as the night progresses, it looks likely that if Rockon Rocky is to be knocked out of the running, it will occur from race five onwards.
The 2024 champion Hold Onto Ya Bling will jump from barrier one in race six.
Matt Elkins opted to partner the five-year-old when he had second pick in the race.
Trained by Shannon Price, the gelding is a four-time Redcliffe winner, with his only attempt at the short course trip being the 2024 victory.

Trista Dixon had the advantage of being the first to pick in the race, opting to stick with a horse she knows well, Call To Order.
The four-year-old is no stranger to Redcliffe or to the one-lap format.
Call To Order has had three previous attempts at the 947 metre scamper where he has been runner-up on all three occasions.
Heat 18, which is race eight, has some speedy performers.
Theresachance and Blackjack Crippa are both fast beginners that have strong credentials over the distance.
The Graham White-trained veteran Theresachance established the new benchmark in 2025 with a 65 second lap.
Theresachance has a perfect record of two starts for two wins at the trip.
Jack Chapple picked up the gelding with a second-round pick.
Luke McCarthy had first pick of the board in this race and opted for the Grant Dixon-trained Blackjack Crippa.
Blackjack Crippa is a horse that has won twice and been runner-up in three attempts.
If 2024 is to be repeated and the time is surpassed in the last of 20 heats for the series, any of the five runners could potentially claim the title.
The in-form horse is undoubtedly Fact Finder for trainer Trent Dawson.
The four-year-old was quickly snapped up by Taleah McMullen who had first pick of the race.
A winner at his past four starts, the gelding has only raced at Redcliffe once, where he finished unplaced in the Redcliffe Derby Consolation last season.
Mynamesevan is first-up back in Queensland following a Tasmanian campaign.
Mynamesevan draws one and is a quick beginner with five of his 10 career wins have been around 'The Triangle'.
Cote Dazur is a six-time Redcliffe winner.
Shards Matrix has placed in his only two visits to Redcliffe with one of those when runner-up to Theresachance in what was then the quickest time of this season.
Or, will lightning strike twice for Redcliffe-based trainer Donny Smith?
Smith was the winner of the inaugural Trot Rods series.
It came down to the last heat of the 2020 series when With The Band overcame the widest gate to take the title.
In 2025, Smith prepares Vinsanity, who will run from the outside gate.
The ‘veteran’ of the five drivers competing this year, Luke McCarthy, takes the reins behind the four-year-old.
It will be the first time that Vinsanity has competed over the short-course trip.
However, his Redcliffe credentials show three wins from just four attempts.
With more than 3,000 career wins, 85 of those at Group 1 level, can McCarthy add a Trot Rods title to his resume?
