Racing is back at Launceston this Friday Night off the back of a terrific day meeting featuring the Golden Apple Final & the 3YO Sires last weekend.

The Toreace Flying Mile, Tasmanian Guineas & the Fillies Championship are the headline acts on Sunday evening at Hobart.

Mark Yole will be busy at both programs with his drives – Read through his thoughts.

Launceston 6 December

Race 2 - Justify: Improving with each run, but this field is too strong.

Race 3 – Kozaczynski: Not much form to go on, this race does not appear to be strong so could show improvement.

Race 4 - Oneofthelads: Nearing a win once again. Gets a good trailing draw and won’t shock me to see him in the finish here.

Race 5 - Kiavino Stride: Racing very well at present. He did all the work last week and battled on strongly in a very fast run race. Should settle handy and make his presence felt.

Race 6 - Feelinkindalucky: Three runs back from a spell should have him primed and ready to go. Comes up with the perfect draw, can lead or take a sit. Should be right in this.

Race 7 - Sharmey: A terrific effort two starts ago when never got any peace in front to just get run down. Then he was a bit disappointing last week in a heat of the Youngbloods Series. From this draw, there appears to be a lot of gate speed to his inside, so I won’t have a set plan, but rather play it by ear early. The mile suits so should be in the mix.

Hobart 8 December

Race 1 - Our Better Bro (Best of the weekend): Interesting runner. Brings solid mainland form over for his first run in Tasmania. Comes up with the perfect draw. He has gate speed but again I will just see how much pressure is on at the start with some decent speed on the front line. I should get a good run and be right in the finish.

Race 2 - Iden Eliza Jane: I liked the way she trialed at Carrick on Monday night behind a smart one. Still learning and whatever she does here she will improve on, as looks to have ability.

Race 4 - Keayang Fitzy: Made a mess off the start last week in the Golden Apple. Back to the mobile here and I think he will be more prominent, albeit in a strong field.

Race 5 - Kerala Star: No luck at all last week from a tough draw. A much better draw here and if I can get him to settle handy, I think he is a great chance.

Race 6 - Soho Undertaker: Beautiful draw but this race is very hot being the Guineas. A place chance at best.

Race 7 - Major Lester: As honest as the day is long. Good draw to enjoy a cozy trip, loves the mile and should be right in the finish.

Race 8 - Rocks Roy: A very even race on paper, I’d like to think that I can get the best out of this old boy and have him run a good race from this draw.

Race 9 - We Salute You: A drop-in class from the Golden Apple where he led up last week. Should get a cheap run on the pegs and if I get a crack at them, he will be charging to the line.
