Form Analysis by Darren Clayton
RACE ONE
MULLUM DALE (6) was sent to the post in red figures last time out off the back of a strong 2nd when a head from the winner VOLTAIN the start prior. Making errors in the run which ended any chance, he will need to get the mobile start right, but finding rhythm can break maiden ranks.
SERENA LOVE (7) was best of the chasers in grabbing the silver behind RAFFIE JAY two starts back and then last time from a 10m tape, found the running line before finishing over the top to claim victory. Despite the wide gate, she can challenge in this line up.
SQUAMISH (5) was asked to sit parked last start and after a tough trip was still there when beaten 2m behind the winner SERENA LOVE. A safe start will be key to his chances.
LIZZIES SON (3) resumed from a spell with an encouraging 2nd behind CASCATA where he hit the line in good order. With added fitness, he finds the right race to feature.

SUGGESTED BET: MULLUM DALE (6) to win
RACE TWO
Breaking a drought to score in a similar line up three starts back, INSTANT DELIGHT (5) was able to overcome gate 6 on that occasion at 2138. Buried from the inside gate and with a messy trip two starts back behind the flying IKIGAI, she finds conditions here to bounce back with a W.
CASCATA (1) was able to find the front at 2138 last time out and dictating was able to claim a 2m margin. An error ended any chance two starts back and drawn tight against the poles here, she can burrow through to issue a challenge.
ITZ TRIXTON TIME (3) has placed at his past three starts, the latest when faced with a 20m handicap and sent to sit parked. Runner-up to IGNITE two back, he has only had two mobile starts in 17 on this deck, finishing 4th in each.
GAIT WITH GRACE (2) will appreciate the conditions here after tackling the pacers at her past two starts where she was always facing a task. Settling close, she can chime in.

SUGGESTED BET: INSTANT DELIGHT (5) to win
RACE THREE
With two wins and two minors from her past four starts, SCHOONERS (3) will look to transfer the Redcliffe form to the big deck here. Claiming an impressive victory, two starts back when finding the front and pulling clear for a big win, she was luckless last time. She can take the step.
FIGHT FOR VICTORY (7) was second up from a spell here last start at 2138 and eased from gate 5, sat at the rear before making some late metres to be 3m from the winner. Fading out when resuming in a Breeders heat, the wide gate will make it a tough ask for him to step forward.
OPALLANE (4) found the pocket trail in a Breeders heat two starts back but locked wheels and ended his hopes. The 2138 might have just found him out last start and this looks more suitable.
BETTOR BE BODHI (5) fired off the arm and tried to take them all the way here last start but was unable to fend them off when 3m astern of WICKED SUSAN. A passing lane winner two back, he has podium claims.
SELECTIONS: SCHOONERS (3), FIGHT FOR VICTORY (7), OPALLANE (4), BETTOR BE BODHI (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SCHOONERS (3) win/place
RACE FOUR
A mixed event over 2138 where the 2YO AARDIES A STAR (3) can strengthen his push for a Protostar slot. Chaing home the smart CHIGGSY at his last NZ appearance before export, he produced an effortless victory at the mile here on May 12. He looks like a classy customer.
SURREAL MORAN (6) is a newcomer that crosses the Tasman to join the Dixon stable. Arriving a one-win pacer, that win was recorded in October last year. Last raced in April when midfield behind the handy MYSTERY CREEK at Invercargill, a tidy trial at Redcliffe has him in this.
BENNYDASOOK (9) has placed in five of eight for the season but has been unable to land a winning blow. Not helped by the second line, his last start was strong behind ROMAN CHARLIE.
HARPER DELIGHT (1) has the benefit of the inside gate as she steps up to the middle trip for the first time. With the chance for the economical trip, she is a podium hope.
SELECTIONS: AARDIES A STAR (3), SURREAL MORAN (6), BENNYDASOOK (9), HARPER DELIGHT (1)
SUGGESTED BET: AARDIES A STAR (3) to win
RACE FIVE
After seemingly having every chance to score two starts back, ROMAN CHARLIE (4) was unable to put them away and faded to 3rd. With that at 2138, he returned to the mile last start and taking control from this same gate, took them all the way with 5m to spare. He can chase the repeat.
LEOTA (6) has been a good thing beaten at his past two starts, the latest when 5m from WICKED SUSAN after hitting dead ends in the run. Having to change lanes at the 500 here two starts back and then get going again, the effort was smart to be just a half-head away. He only needs to be kept in space to take this.
KASH FUND (2) chased home for the bronze behind BARSBY in a Breeders heat before finishing midfield in the final taken by FIRE AND PASSION. From the gate, he can stake claim for victory.
VIENNA OPERA (3) has placed in four of her past five starts, the latest from inside the second line and making a passing lane play. Settling handy can see her chime in.
SELECTIONS: ROMAN CHARLIE (4), LEOTA (6), KASH FUND (2), VIENNA OPERA (3)
SUGGESTED BET: ROMAN CHARLIE (4) to win
RACE SIX
An even contest here where the chances of ROYAL WINKLE (5) hinge on whether he can get across them when the arms fold. Not suited when asked to park last time and fading to finish rearward, two starts back he was able to dictate and claim a 6m margin. That effort is needed.
YOGI (3) started from inside the second line at Marburg last time out and from the trail held on for the silver behind WANDARY DELIGHT. Yet to claim victory here at HQ, he has placed in four of nine and with the chance to press forward, finds the conditions to challenge.
GABBYS SPORTSTAR (10) arrives for visiting NSW trainer Nathan Hurst and arrives with placings at his past two starts. A veteran performer, with the right cart into this he can claim minor money.
GIDUP CAPTAIN (4) started from inside the second line at Redcliffe two starts back and was angled into the running line before finishing strongly to claim a big win. He is right in the fight.
SELECTIONS: ROYAL WINKLE (5), YOGI (3), GABBYS SPORTSTAR (10), GIDUP CAPTAIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET:
RACE SEVEN
After two runs back from a spell, JACCKA COOPER (3) found the right race last time out at Redcliffe where he was able to overcome a wide gate and power home to victory. With added fitness and the chance to settle handy to the action, he can chase a repeat.
SPLASHNDASH (7) found ideal conditions here two starts back and fired off the arm was able to dictate from the front to claim a 4m margin. Beaten by the inside second line at Marburg last time, he was probing for the opening and went within an eyelash of victory. This gate stings.
TULHURST TIMMY (9) arrives a last start winner after overcoming an inside second line gate at Bathurst and finding space to take an 8m margin. Beaten a head three back, he can join in here.
STILLYOURSHOT (10) was wide for a long way last start at Redcliffe and faded after the torrid trip. Midfield behind ROSTOVA the start prior when parked, he can grab minor money in this.
SELECTIONS: JACCKA COOPER (3), SPLASHNDASH (7), TULHURST TIMMY (9), STILLYOURSHOT (10)
SUGGESTED BET: JACCKA COOPER (3) to win
RACE EIGHT
Asked to sit parked last start and fighting to the line, REDS ABLAZE (10) held on for the bronze behind OAKLEY SHARD. Too far back the start prior from a second line gate, she was strong in front over the mile here three back. Despite the gate, she looks up to the challenge here.
WORKS FOR ME (4) will take further benefit from her latest outing when third up from a spell. Eased off the arm and chasing in vain as LOCHIVAR CAMARO scored, the start prior was in a strong mare’s event dictated by OAKLEY SHARD. With the right trip she can challenge.
I OF THE HURRIKANE (1) started from this same gate last start when settled in the trail and missing a placing in a blanket finish when only 1m from the winner. A similar trip can see her feature.
CREDULOUS (8) was beaten by gate 6 last start when retreating in the early stages and then always facing an impossible task with the leader ripping home in sub-27. A fence trip suits.
SELECTIONS: REDS ABLAZE (10), WORKS FOR ME (4), I OF THE HURRIKANE (1), CREDULOUS (8)
SUGGESTED BET: REDS ABLAZE (10) to win
RACE NINE
Showing a clean pair of plates when the mobile pulled clear last start, PRINCESS ARNA (2) took control and from the front dictated before pulling clear in posting a 13m margin. A winner from the trail three starts back, she can take control and fend off the challengers.
SPORTY ZARA (9) can follow through in the early stages to find position near the speed. Hitting the line strongly at Redcliffe last start after retreating from gate 6, her 3rd the start prior had merit from inside the second line. Look for her to issue a closing challenge.
ROLLING BONUS (1) should secure the soft trip in behind the speed and will be ready to take aim when the gaps arrive. A Marburg winner two starts back, he is a podium player here.
MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (3) was trying to make a closing raid last start and was just behind the placings as SPLASHNDASH dictated. Settling near the speed can see him chiming in.
SELECTIONS: PRINCESS ARNA (2), SPORTY ZARA (9), ROLLING BONUS (1), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2 / 1-3-9
RACE TEN
A tough event to line up and the 2138 adding an extra layer of intrigue to untangle. LITTLE HOOFANANNY (11) was snookered from inside the second line at Redcliffe last start when using the passing lane in the closing stages. Runner-up here at this trip three back, does she hold the winning Thursday evening lottery ticket.
BELMER BETTY (12) has been in great touch following her arrival in the new barn and last start was making a late play once clear to grab silver behind SHES IN LINE. A winner at this trip two starts back when following the speed from gate 1, she will rely on some tempo to challenge.
DRAIKANA (7) found the 1x1 trail from gate 6 last start and had the closing speed to descend on them and pull clear late to post a 4m margin. The gate makes the repeat tough.
JIMMY BLING (1) was forced to sit parked last time out at Marburg and despite the tough trip was still fighting in taking silver. With the options from this gate, he can be thereabouts.
SELECTIONS: LITTLE HOOFANANNY (11), BELMER BETTY (12), DRAIKANA (7), JIMMY BLING (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
