Form Analysis by Ryan Phelan

Race 1:

OVERVIEW: MIDNITE DESIRE (3) is yet to win in nine attempts this season, but his recent performances suggest he’s trending towards the winner’s stall. He was forced to work hard out of the gate and crossed last time, and if he got the desired spot would have won. This map may work out better for him and if he gets control is the one to beat.
BLISSFULL LILLY (4) maps to get decent cover and found the line ok when clear last time. REASON TO LAUGH (7) came through the same race when 3rd and did it tough again at Shepparton for the podium but has a tricky draw. RIVER PATROL (2) the 15-yo is a fast beginner, likes the track and may get a soft run to improve on recent form.

BACK: MIDNITE DESIRE (3) – 3 units (win)

SELECTIONS: MIDNITE DESIRE (3), BLISSFULL LILLY (4), REASON TO LAUGH (7), RIVER PATROL (2)

Race 2:

OVERVIEW: MOST EXCITING (4) resumes here as a 3yo of one trial, and it’s form last season for the premier stable was sound by their lofty juvenile standards. He appears the type however who has the constitution to improve with more time so expect a strong effort first-up.
IM WESLEY (5) is going well and draws alongside the favourite but does possess very good gate speed and can cross and get the premium cover. YA BOTTOM DOLLAR (1) was good last time in quick time and gets a soft map with a quick last half expected. JUST INCREDIBLE (2) is from an in-from stable and was ok last time, will come on in fitness from that.

BACK: MOST EXCITING (4) into MASTER LOUEY (4) - 3 units (multi)

SELECTIONS: MOST EXCITING (4), IM WESLEY (5), YA BOTTOM DOLLAR (1), JUST INCREDIBLE (2)

Race 3:

OVERVIEW: THE VILLAIN (2) has had two runs for the new stable and both have been good in tougher company than he meets here. Stable and driver have a good record together and can map to get the right run here either in front or behind leader .
ROBLEN RANGER (1) is the quickest beginner, and tactics play a part in his chances whether he’s happy to sit on The Villian over the middle distance. He shapes as the main danger. MIKISPUR (3) has gained attention his past couple, and he races well this track. If he brings his best he’s right in it. GOODTIME CAPTAIN (7) just can’t get the right draw or set-up, but he goes ok and is in it with even luck.

BACK: THE VILLAIN (2) – 3 units (win)

SELECTIONS: THE VILLAIN (2), ROBLEN RANGER (1), MIKISPUR (3), GOODTIME CAPTAIN (7)

Race 4:

OVERVIEW: MASTER LOUEY (4) was ultra-impressive when resuming for his 3yo season winning smartly at Kilmore chasing down the leaders in solid sectionals. He was tested against top aged company last time and the stable is astute with these progressive youngters. He can be more forward this time and looks the one to beat.
COLORADO GIRL (1) resumes here and is a quick beginner, her only win came when she was able to lead from this draw. NOELS GIFT (2) makes a long journey to this track, and may get a soft run fitter 3rd up. JUSTLIKEDAVE (5) ran some good races at this track last preparation and is fitter at his second run to finish well with the righ tempo.

BACK: MOST EXCITING (4) into MASTER LOUEY (4) - 3 units (multi)

SELECTIONS: MASTER LOUEY (4), COLORADO GIRL (1), NOELS GIFT (2), JUSTLIKEDAVE (5)

Race 5:

OVERVIEW: BONA KHAN (5) is a very quick beginner who’s been going well this time in. Things didn’t work out last time, but this map looks more favourable for him to find the top, and if he can settle over the middle trip can take running down.
TUPELO BEACH (3) has gone close to winning this season but just can’t find the post in time. He gets a decent map here and can be strong late. TOPHUT JOHNY (4) returns to the front row draw which helps him race closer to the speed which helps as he’s a grinding type. ARE WEASLEY (6) has a strong SP profile and is always there abouts, but his racing pattern where he does the bullocking work often leaves him a sitting shot.

SELECTIONS: BONA KHAN (5), TUPELO BEACH (3), TOPHUT JOHNY (4), ARE WEASLEY (6)

Race 6:

OVERVIEW: WHATS THE TEA (5) got the start wrong last time but made up good ground thereafter finding the line well. His form has been sound this season, but remains winless at this track. With the in-form driver, he can be strong late with the right tempo.

AGAINST THE BRIDLE (3) was a winner here two back when able to find the front over the middle distance, he may be forced to sit parked over the shorter trip. FLING IT RAINBOW (2) is a quick beginner and may wish to hold the lead over the shorter journey, he’s consistent but yet to win this track in 14 attempts. LOVE WHO (1) maps to get a nice run and his last win came from this draw.

SELECTIONS: WHATS THE TEA (5), AGAINST THE BRIDLE (3), FLING IT RAINBOW (2), LOVE WHO (1)

Race 7:

OVERVIEW: ARISA (4) was quite good on debut where she settled back in the field and sustained a long run, digging deep and still giving in the straight to narrowly go down. That experience holds her in great stead here and can map better this time and prove hard to catch.
LOOKING FROM ABOVE (2) showed good speed last start only to break shortly after commencing, her form prior was good and this is a suitable assignment. WESTERIA (5) and RAGING DAISY (3) are both 2yo fillies who have trialled well into this debut run. This trials haven’t been blistering, but enough to give them claims and will only benefit from the outing.

SELECTIONS: ARISA (4), LOOKING FROM ABOVE (2), WESTERIA (5), RAGING DAISY (3)
