Form Analysis by Braden Howlett
Race 1
OZZIE PEARL (3) continues to run good races without breaking through. This looks no different here where she will most likely have to do the work again outside MY FATAL CHARM (1). She also gets her chance again here from the pole draw to go for an all the way victory. YASTREMSKA LEIS (2) did work mid race and battled on well for 4th last start, and looks to get a nice position on speed with cover, whilst I GOTTA GO (7) and HAMMERING SEAS (5) both resume from a let up and can be in finish with the right run. Stablemates WINNING BREW (4) and KLITSCHKO LEIS (6) are on debut and have both trialled nice enough to be in the finish also with improvement.
Selections OZZIE PEARL (3), YASTREMSKA LEIS (2), MY FATAL CHARM (1), I GOTTA GO (7)
Race 2
FUN TO LOVE (5) gets in very well with the mares claim, and draws to work forward and find the front. She was very good last start in quick time, and will take some beating from the draw. SNOWIEWILLREV (7) returns from an injury enforced break, but was super impressive as a 2yo winning all 4 starts. Not an ideal gate for him first up , but can make his own luck and looks the danger to the favourite. The Conor Crook pair in DAT LOU (8) and KEAYANG GALLIANO (9) look to get nice runs in the running line from the trailing draws, whilst MOVESLIKELADY (11) will again be driven for luck and hope gaps appear late.
Selections FUN TO LOVE (5), SNOWIEWILLREV (7), KEAYANG GALLIANO (9), DAT LOU (8)
Race 3
STEPUPNDANCE (1) and GUENEVERES MADONNA (3) have both been racing well without winning. Expect them to have a small battle for the lead early here with the (1) having enough speed to hold the front. MIKIYOURSOFINE (6) had no luck last start when wide early, and again wide late, but still battled on well for 3rd, and would think Hannah attempts to rolls forward here. IDEN KAMIKAZE (4) and JEREMY WELLS (9) will be hoping for some speed on throughout, and will be running home strong late, whilst Geoff Smith trio of 3 runners will be on the back up from Burnie Friday and hoping for some luck along the pegs. Also wouldn’t be leaving NORBET (2) out of exotics from the good draw and normally goes well at his home track.
Selections MIKIYOURSOFINE (6), STEPUPNDANCE (1), GUENEVRES MADONNA (3), JEREMY WELLS (9)
Race 4
MIKI SING (7) won with something in hand first up in the state when working forward to the death and proving too strong. Awkward draw here but expect Jordy to restrain off the pegs and drive him like the best race in the race and take some beating again. ITSMENOTU (8) has shown her best form of late and looks to be in the finish from the nice trailing draw, where GLENVIEW LANIKAI (2) also placed in the same 3yo sires heats before going missing since, she should get every chance on speed from the draw. SHIBASAKI (9) was an obvious black booker on debut when he made a long wide run from back of field to narrowly go down, and would expect he improves from that experience and will be running home strong. The rest of the field all have a chance of filling in the top 4 positions with the right run.
Selections MIKI SING (7) ITSMENOTU (8) SHIBASAKI (9), GLENVIEW LANIKAI (2).
Race 5
Most of this field went around 2 weeks ago over the longer 2698m distance, where the backmarkers showed their class. The shorter trip will help the likes of ROCKANDHARDPLACE (2) and MAEBEE (4) who ran along at a decent tempo on speed that day. KEAYANG FITZY (8) and IRON CLAD (9) off the 10m will be hoping to position close on speed which should allow them to get their chance to be in the finish. STAR MAJOR (13) will be relying on some speed on throughout to show his toughness late, whilst stablemates GLENLEDI ELVIS (11) and MAGNETIC TERROR (12) will need to step safely and looking for a nice cart into the race late to be in the finish.
Selections MAEBEE (4), ROCKANDAHARDPLACE (2), KEAYANG FITZY (8), STAR MAJOR (13)
Race 6
A very even field, and front row with gate speed which makes it very hard to assess. DIDYALOUSAROOSTA (1) again draws well and will get his chance on speed, with REPETITIVE (5) being first up for Wayne Yole, who could be the one that pushes hard early with Liam Older aboard who is normally aggressive from a front row draw. MIGHT AND TEMERITY (3) and NANCESTIGER (4) have been running home well their past few races and may position closer here, whilst MONTGOMERY BURNS (7) will be hoping gaps appear and has a fast finishing burst. Wouldn’t surprise to see any others bob up to win, including SMOKESCREEN (6) who is hard to catch but did make ground late last start.
Selections DIDYALOUSAROOSTA (2), NANCESTIGER (4), MIGHT AND TEMERITY (3), MONTGOMERY BURNS (7)
Race 7
OZZIE CORKA (6) draws wide but has good gate speed to push forward to be on speed, and uses the 3yo claim for the last time over the mile trip, where he can run a quick time that others probably cannot in this field. There is some speed inside from BARNY BILL (3) who was disappointing when getting a semi easy time when leading last start, and stablemates MY BAD (2) and ASHANTE QUEEN (4) who will be looking to settle on speed. ANDAMAN BAY (7) and STIR ME UP (10) will be running home strong off a solid tempo, whilst MUZZAME MATE (1) is a great chance from the pole if he gains a start as emergency.
Selections OZZIE CORKA (6), BARNEY BILL (3), ANDAMAN BAY (7), MY BAD (2)
Race 8
FAMILY REASONS (1) gets his chance third up from a spell, and may have the speed to hold up in this front row not blessed with huge gate speed. At his best, he would take some beating. HAY MIKI (5) is going well lately, and may have a look early to see if he can an advantage on speed. GYPSY AMOUR (8) ran home well 2 starts back before disappointing from a nice run on pegs last week, whilst MIKI SANZ (2) will be on speed and is consistent but finds it hard to win. Expecting ARMA ROLLING STONE (10) to be put into the race and try out tough them which he may just do, whilst LIFEINTHEBALANCE (11) will be in the finish if he brings his best behaviour.
Selections FAMILY REASON (1), HAY MIKI (5), ARMA ROLLING STONE (10), LIFEINTHEBALANCE (11)
Race 9
NEON (2) may have the speed to find the front here, and should be improving second up from a spell. INDELIBLE (1) gets her chance to improve from the pole draw on her home track, and would be hard to beat if anywhere near her best. HAMMER DAN (4) found the front before being nabbed late in good time last start, and will be looking to sit on speed again and may look to control the tempo from the death. RAY DAN (8) gets the nice trailing draw and if showed his best behaviour and form, he could take some holding out , whilst MY WAY (3) and JAMES CAGNEY (5) should get their chance to run home strong in the small field.
Selections HAMMER DAN (4), INDELIBLE (1), RAY DAN (8), MY WAY (3)
