Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

The opening race of the Ladbrokes Ultimate Driver Series with drivers selected at Wednesday’s draft. KERBANG (1) will benefit from an improved gate after a string of wide gates have dampened his hopes of late. Still able to score at Redcliffe two starts back from a tough gate, he can be the series opener for Carter Dalgety.

BETTING ORIGIN (11) was sent around them from the second line last start in a qualifier and despite sitting parked the last 1000, was able to out stay them for a classy victory. Not far away from gate 7 the start prior, this looks an easier assignment than his last start win.

ART JESTER (10) was runner-up last start when holding the pocket trail and chasing when 8m behind VINSANITY. Snagged back before closing strongly two back, he can chime in.

LETHAL LOUIE (8) should secure the economical trip behind the speed. Hitting the line nicely last start when midfield to MOOPS, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: KERBANG (1), BETTING ORIGIN (11), ART JESTER (10), LETHAL LOUIE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Sent to the post as the fav last start, LENNY LINCOLN (9) could only manage a midfield finish in a race where all the power was early. Trying to see them off from the front two starts back, he held ono for the silver behind BIRKIRKARA. With the right trail, he can rally in the stretch.

CALL TO ORDER (11) overcame the outside second front-line gate last start at the middle trip. Powering up and pulling clear late to post a 7m margin, there will be good tempo generated here and saved for the last shot can throw down the challenge.

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (3) is brilliant off the gate and from this alley can dart across to find the pegs. Chasing a hat-trick of wins after two on the bounce at Redcliffe, his AP conversion rate is a query.

TEST OF FIRE (6) was a big winner three starts back and then has missed the money at his next two. Forced to work hard in the run last start, the wide gate makes this a tough ask.

SELECTIONS: LENNY LINCOLN (9), CALL TO ORDER (11), BLACKJACK CRIPPA (3), TEST OF FIRE (6)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE THREE

Forced to sit parked last start, DAGGY LAMB (4) faded in the closing stages as CHARGE AHEAD descended on them with the form of that on display last week at Menangle. Scoring successive wins from the second line four back, he can be handy enough to capitalise.

STUDLEIGH MARK (1) was beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating and then never a factor. A beaten fav behind KERBANG at Redcliffe two starts back, he has good arm hustle and from the pole will be burrowing through and looking to challenge with options at hand.

JACCKA WALLY (10) is better suited when out in front but did hit the line in good order last start when under 3m from BETTING ORIGIN. Pressing through to find position, tempo will help.

ALLMIGHTY MAX (8) is effective off a soft trip and from this gate should be tucked away and ready to make a passing lane play in a race that should generate tempo.

SELECTIONS: DAGGY LAMB (4), STUDLEIGH MARK (1), JACCKA WALLY (10), ALLMIGHTY MAX (8)
SUGGESTED BET: DAGGY LAMB (4) to win

RACE FOUR

The number one draft pick on Wednesday, WAIKAKA MAGIC (6) was snapped up for Carter Dalgety. An effortless 7m winner at his Qld debut in December, he impressed in a recent workout, spacing them and running time. Untried at the middle trip, he should have the class.

SMARTER THAN YOU (3) was first up last start when snagged off the wide gate to settle at the rear and then never got warm. Gritty when runner-up to OUR INDIFFERENCE at his last outing in his three-year-old term, he has the gate to throw down the challenge.

GO COLOUR MY WORLD (4) was a first up winner when firing off the arm from gate 4 at this trip and taking them all the way. If he is first to the poles, he will give some cheek.

LULU MAE (8) has been in fine touch this season with wins in three of five starts. Taking them all the way with 10m to spare last start at the mile, she will be probing for the openings here.

SELECTIONS: WAIKAKA MAGIC (6), SMARTER THAN YOU (3), GO COLOUR MY WORLD (4), LULU MAE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: WAIKAKA MAGIC (6) to win

RACE FIVE

With good speed off the arm, THE GROGMOTHER (2) finds the right race to get to the front early and look to dictate. Trying to fend them off in front last start, she was grabbed in the closing stages to be under 3m from the winner when holding on for 2nd.

MISS HATTIE (8) is a last start winner after sitting in the running line at the middle trip and finishing over the top of them for the barest possible margin. Making metres in the latter stages at her past two, an economical trip in behind the speed will assist her challenging chances.

JIMMY JOYCE (9) was asked to work last start from gate 5 when rolling forward for position and holding on for the bronze. The second line makes it a tough ask.

THE BLUE WREN (10) will be chasing a hat-trick of victories after successive wins at the mile. Dictating last start after using the passing lane two back, she can be joining in.

SELECTIONS: THE GROGMOTHER (2), MISS HATTIE (8), JIMMY JOYCE (9), THE BLUE WREN (10)
SUGGESTED BET:
THE GROGMOTHER (2) to win

RACE SIX

Relying on some mapping favours, if GOOD WORD THAT (8) can be hitting the lane with momentum, his stocks will rise. Collared in the last stride last time out at Redcliffe, he was game two back when sitting parked. If the favours arrive, so can he.

SPORTS BOUNTY (6) may have been a sleeper in the draft, but the room shook to life when Ladbrokes selected this last start winner for their man Double D. Pulling clear for a PB win at the mile last start with 15m to spare, can he rinse and repeat?

THE HARRIS HAWK (10) was resuming from a spell last time out when holding the pocket trail from inside the second line at Redcliffe. Placed here three back from gate 7, he is in the mix.

MELTON INSULTED (1) will be on the back-up from Wednesday where she was runner-up at Redcliffe from inside the second line. With good early speed, she has the options to feature.

SELECTIONS: GOOD WORD THAT (8), SPORTS BOUNTY (6), THE HARRIS HAWK (10), MELTON INSULTED (1)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-6-8-10

RACE SEVEN

Striking trouble last start JUSTROLLINGAROUND (10) finished midfield getting involved early through a sub 27 opening panel. Forced to grind it out first over the start prior, she finds the right opposition to capitalise.

MARKSMAN (7) was a Redcliffe winner four runs back when firing out to take them all the way. Doing plenty of work in the run last start from a wide gate on The Triangle at the 2040, he can press forward off the wide gate to issue the challenge.

MORETTA (11) returns from a spell after her last start 3rd when under 2m from the winner. Landing the W from the 1x1 trail four runs back, she will be looking to join in late.

MACS A DUDE (6) is on the back up from Tuesday where he looked to have found his race but on the front end could not finish them off. The wider gate makes this a tougher assignment.

SELECTIONS: JUSTROLLINGAROUND (10), MARKSMAN (7), MORETTA (11), MACS A DUDE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: JUSTROLLINGAROUND (10) to win

RACE EIGHT

Forced to sit parked last start, the tough trip told over the closing stages for MUFASA BART (10) which faded to be midfield. Three starts back he was hitting the line in good style to be just a half-neck from the winner over the 2138 and finds the right opposition to stake a claim.

MY ULTIMATE RUDI (6) was attacking the line strongly last start to get within a blister of the winner at the 2138m trip. Eased for the short way home the start prior when resuming from a spell, positioning cheaply will be the key to his challenging chances.

TRACER BULLET (4) has hit the board at his past three in succession, two of those when going under as the punters elect. Only collared in the closing strides last start, he has claims again.

SHADYS DELIGHT (11) finished best to claim a Redcliffe victory on Monday and is on the four-day back-up off a tough gate. Tempo will assist his closing chances.

SELECTIONS: MUFASA BART (10), MY ULTIMATE RUDI (6), TRACER BULLET (4), SHADYS DELIGHT (11)
SUGGESTED BET: MUFASA BART (10) to win

RACE NINE

Runner-up under similar conditions two starts back, INSTANT DELIGHT (6) was then sent for a break. Returning last time off a 50m tape, the effort was full of merit when 8m from the winner. This looks a big class drop and back to the mobile, finds the conditions to capitalise.

MELPARK MAGIC (9) was back in winning form last start when pressing to the front from gate 5 and seeing them off with 7m to spare. Relying on some factors for running line position and not getting too far back, he is up to throwing down a challenge.

MILLY AN EYRE (1) has place at her past four starts without being too far away. A good beginner out of the machine, she has the early options to chase the minor money once again.

EN MASSE (7) found the pocket trail last start from the tapes and made a late rally to be within 3m of the winner. Only a neck away three starts back, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: INSTANT DELIGHT (6), MELPARK MAGIC (9), MILLY AN EYRE (1), EN MASSE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
INSTANT DELIGHT (6) to win

RACE TEN

He is yet to race in Australia, but off the back of a trial that matched his name, ITS ELECTRIFYING (5) was the second draft pick and will be partnered by Nathan Dawson. Looking super sharp in that trial, he finds the ideal one win conditions in this line up.

MONOPOLLIE (1) was closing strongly last start to grab the silver behind SPORTY ZARA when 2m adrift. A dictating winner here three starts back and shut down for the season straight after, with two runs back from a spell, the soft trail is the place to be here.

FIRENSTORM (8) returns following a maiden breaking win at his third career starts back in September. With a sound trial in readiness for the return, the pegs will be valuable here.

CAPTAIN BART (3) was a Redcliffe winner in breaking maiden ranks two starts back when descending late. Resuming from a spell following that victory, added fitness will help.

SELECTIONS: ITS ELECTRIFYING (5), MONOPOLLIE (1), FIRENSTORM (8), CAPTAIN BART (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics  5 / 1-8 / 1-3-8
