Race 1:

 

OVERVIEW: SINBAD SASSY (2) resumes from a spell and showed good promise last campaign and from a favourable draw expect a forward showing. KEAYANG PAYTON (9) wasn’t far away last start having won her first two starts and can follow through nicely here and is one of the chances. VILLAROCK (3) should appreciate a front row draw and despite being unplaced last start can settle in a prominent position and expect a good showing. LOVE A BELLE (10) racing with great zest and though facing a tough draw she will be running on late. COOPER CLEAVER (11) capable pacer resuming and does have ability. Can run well fresh and don’t dismiss. NETRA (4) has been in the wilderness not having won since July 2024. Glimpses in recent starts that she is getting back into form and only if she can produce her best, she could be winning this. Don’t leave out!

Race 2:

 

OVERVIEW: Both DEUCE COUPE (6) and EDWARD GRANGE (9) two months ago were known as prolific placegetters and have since found that mojo winning feeling! This is a very even race with many chances  both horses are right in the mix again. WOTDIDUSAAAY (10) is a seasoned campaigner resuming from a break and expect a good showing fresh despite a tough draw to overcome. AUCKLAND RED (4) racing well and best form has been over the sprint trips but must be respected. OUR BELLA LUCIA (3) in form and very capable, definite chance again whilst CHASING REX (5) SPORTS WRACK (2) and MACHANE SAID (7) can’t be dismissed.

Race 3:

 

OVERVIEW: The race experience horses DAVOLAS LEGACY (4) JILLIBY RYDER (8) and SOHO PINA COLADA (1) will have benefited from those starts and all show ability to be winning races. Tough race to line up and expect strong showings. First starters THE ULTIMAT COWBOY (2) FINAL PROMISE (6) and YNOBE MAJAK (10) are nicely bred pacers and in astute stables and are showing promise at the trials and can run well. Market moves might be the key in this.

Race 4:

 

OVERVIEW: NEW SHUFFLE (9) resumed with an impressive win first up and looks set for a strong campaign. Expect a big showing. GENERAL LINCOLN (4) resumes and does have good ability when right and strikes a suitable race and can run well fresh. NINEDOLLA TOASTIE (7) super consistent pacer that struggles to win but continues to run well and is one of the chances. SILVER MYSTIQUE (6) capable mare that is right up to these and will be finishing home strongly. Last start winners GOODTIME MACH (8) and ILLAWONG DANNY (5) have ability and must be respected again.

Race 5:

 

OVERVIEW: HEZA GUN (7) talented trotter that has come back to racing with great zest and despite the wide draw expect a strong showing again. SHAQ THE ANVIL (8) has good ability but can-do things wrong. A winner three starts ago and wasn’t far away against stronger company last start. A major threat. BUSLIN BRODY (5) racing in great form and does have gate speed and can race in a forward position. Can give a mighty sight. STEADY DREAM (2) did things wrong last start but was a winner two starts ago. Drawn well and can run well here. Can make amends.   SUNDAYS SHADOW (4) resumes here and rarely runs a poor race can run well fresh. RIGHT OF REPLY (3) unplaced last start but prior form was solid and is amongst the chances whilst FREE STARR (6) resumes from a very long spell but does have very good ability and can’t be ignored.

OVERVIEW: First starters PERPETUAL (7) and ONE MORE MOVE (1) both are showing promise at the trials are sure to be well prepared for their debut showing. Both can run well. ISLAND RUBEE (6) first starter for the Chris Lang and Sonia Mahar team that will be well educated and must be respected. PARLEZVOUS PATTY (4) resumes here and will have benefited from the race experience last campaign and can run well fresh along with MUSKEE (5). BRIGITTE ROYALE (2), COLUMBIAS GONZALES (8) PLEASE LAYLA (9) are amongst the place and first four hopes.

OVERVIEW: ROYAL CADENCE (5) has been racing very well and finished off strongly last start. In good form and is one of the main chances again. OH NO NEVER GAIN (8) will strip fitter for his first up run and does have his share of good ability and there should be good early speed here. Suited and expect him to be running on late. Early speed pacers CHANSU (3) and HIGHVIEW HAMMER (2) can race in forward positions and should settle handy. Definite chances. ILLAWONG PHOENIX (1) drawn to settle behind the speed and should be running on late along with GOODTIME OSCAR (7).

Race 8:

 

OVERVIEW: ALPHA CRUCIS (2) good effort when leading throughout recently to win and looks well placed again from the draw to settle in a prominent position. Expect another strong showing. BLACKMIRRA (6) has been racing well and is rarely far away. Suited and is one of the main chances. OCEANIQUE (4) resumes here but has raced well fresh in the past and is right up to these. Definite threat. MIDNITE DESIRE (7) fitter and can improve whilst seasoned pacer LOTAKEVI (1) and KARDESLER (3) are always chances and would not surprise whilst MY JUSTICE (5) and WOLFENDEN (8) have place claims.
