Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

In two runs for the new stable, the performances of BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (5) have been off the charts. Blitzing his rivals with a 54.2 last 800 first up and posting a 39m margin, his effort in defeat to be under 2m away last time was enormous with the winner rating 1.49.3. Despite the rise to 2138, he should put these to the sword off the back of his past two runs.

MY ULTIMATE MARIO (1) was luckless two starts back when shuffled back from gate one before hitting the line in good style to be 4m form the winner. Moving up to look for position last week, he was three wide the entire and still had the temerity to hold on for the bronze. The gate helps.

MIGHTY JOLT (8) will be locked away on the inside, which will be the right place to be positioned for this contest. Trying to make metres wide out last start, he will be probing for openings here.

MULLUM HANK (6) won two of three runs back from a long spell before heading into last week’s qualifier where FERNCO NEL broke 50. Running on for 3rd out of the pack, he can chime in again.

SELECTIONS: BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (5), MY ULTIMATE MARIO (1), MIGHTY JOLT (8), MULLUM HANK (6)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 5 / 1-6-8 / 1-3-4-6-8

RACE TWO

Given a let up since his last appearance when dictating from gate 2, ROCKET CITY (6) has been a revelation since arriving in Qld. A winner in six of 12 and runner-up a further three times, he stomped out a 53.2 last half from the front last time and despite the gate can capitalise again.

CATSEYE BEACH (4) resumes from a spell, shut down following his last appearance back in April when setting the tempo that saw WISPER A SECRET rate 1.49.7. Given a pipe opener at the trials in readiness for the return, he has early burn to press forward and issue the challenge.

FASHION ICON (10) was first up from a spell here last week when forced to park out over the middle trip. Despite working, he was able to grind out the W and can be joining in again here.

AMAMI (1) held the trail last time out and grabbed the silver behind FASHION ICON along the passing lane. A winner in two of his previous three, the gate assists his chances.

SELECTIONS: ROCKET CITY (6), CATSEYE BEACH (4), FASHION ICON (10), AMAMI (1)
SUGGESTED BET: ROCKET CITY (6) to win

RACE THREE

Stepping up to band 5 company last Saturday, WAMBOYNEINAMERICA (4) took control soon after the start of the 2138 and from the front put it out of reach for the chasers with a 53.5 close out. On the short back-up Tuesday to claim another effortless victory in PB time at the mile, he can chase a seven-day hat-trick.

TREMENDOUS SENSATION (2) has been exactly that since arriving in Qld. Scoring a fifth successive victory last start, she was too slick in the closing stages after arriving from deep field over 2138. Too strong in front the start prior when denying subsequent 1.49.3 winner FERNCO NEL, she has the gate to throw it right down.

BIGGER THE BETTOR (5) has faced second line gates at his past two, the latest when just a half-head from the winner TREMENDOUS SENSATION. Beaten by gate 10 as DARIN dictated the start prior, a return to the front line is a big plus.

BRONSKI ZULU (1) started from inside the second line last time out and with the benefit of the soft trip, held on for the bronze behind TREMENDOUS SENSATION. Another easy trip can see him grab more minor money.

SELECTIONS: WAMBOYNEINAMERICA (4), TREMENDOUS SENSATION (2), BIGGER THE BETTOR (5), BRONSKI ZULU (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Continuing to go from strength to strength in every appearance, THE JANITOR (4) looks set to add an open age feature to his CV. Winning both starts since returning from a luckless Len Smith mile trip, he was large in victory last time from gate 7 when sitting parked at the middle trip. This looks at his mercy.

BIRKIRKARA (1) tackled the middle trip last start and rolled forward to be exposed early before receiving cover. Trying to launch a closing raid, the effort was strong when runner-up to THE JANITOR. Beaten by the inside second line the start prior, he secures the gate to attempt a challenge.

WISPER A SECRET (8) will need some luck at some stage from this gate as he looks at risk of being snookered in the run. Working around from outside the second line to find the front and then fade late, he dictated the start prior.

CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (5) resumed last week when sitting parked in a small field at the mile. Despite missing the minors, he was only 4m from the winner and sectionally his performance was good. Added fitness will help.

SELECTIONS: THE JANITOR (4), BIRKIRKARA (1), WISPER A SECRET (8), CAPTAIN SHUFFLES (5)
SUGGESTED BET: THE JANITOR (4) to win

RACE FIVE

Tackling the middle trip in a mid-week event when resuming THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (9) was only a half-head from victory in smart time. Faced with a second line gate second up, the effort was solid when midfield to GOLDEN FIRE. The tempo looks stronger for this contest which should be ideal.

ZAHRA LOU (2) resumed following seven weeks off the scene with a tidy 2nd behind the talented COASTAL BABE. Franking that effort here last week, she was never in danger with a dictating win at the mile in a PB 1.52.7. From the gate she can get forward to throw down the challenge.

SWEET MIA (6) was chasing a fourth successive victory here last week when sent forward to take control. Unable to repel the passing lane challenge of GOLDEN FIRE with a 2m deficit, she faces a tough gate and the potential need to do the heavy lifting here.

SWEET ADDITION (1) maps for an economical trip and if the gaps arrive in time, can be making a late play for the podium. Just missing a cheque last time behind GOLDEN FIRE, the gate helps.

SELECTIONS: THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (9), ZAHRA LOU (2), SWEET MIA (6), SWEET ADDITION (1)
SUGGESTED BET: THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (9) to win

RACE SIX

Completing a hat-trick of victories with his heat win, KIKI MEISTER (1) should take plenty of benefit from the run which was his first since July. Finding the front from gate 2, he was able to take them all the way, with 7m to spare on the line in a time that was 1 second quicker than the other heat. With the options and added fitness, he gets every chance.

SITTING ON EIGHT (9) worked to the front in his heat before taking cover on PURE GRUNT which dictated a 60.1 middle half. Taking his shot in the stretch, he had superior speed and claimed a 3m margin in a 26.4 close out. Too gritty for older horses when parked the start prior, he can throw down the challenge.

PURE GRUNT (4) ambled to the front in his heat which looked the stronger of the two. With the first three quarters not overly slick, it was a stretch drive showdown which he had no answer to. With early hustle and a stronger tempo, he can be sharper.

OPALLANE (8) resumed from the ultimate gear change with victory at the mile when descending on them here three starts back. Placed in both runs since, he held the bronze from three fence behind SITTING ON EIGHT and with another cosy trip can grab minor money.

SELECTIONS: KIKI MEISTER (1), SITTING ON EIGHT (9), PURE GRUNT (4), OPALLANE (8)
SUGGESTED BET: KIKI MEISTER (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Two heats were held last Friday for these 3YO colts and geldings where STAY FOOLISH (3) had to settle for the bronze in his heat but was only 1m from the winner. Having an early look that was repelled, he looks to get his chance to find the front this time and if crossing down, will take some stopping.

HAPPY AS CAN BE (9) started from gate one in his heat and with the benefit of inside running, railed through to lead and take them all the way in the quickest of the two heats. Finishing with a 27.1 closing panel, it followed a strong chasing victory at Redcliffe. Tempo will assist his hopes of descending for the W.

FIGHT TO THE END (8) rolled forward from gate 6 in the other second heat and despite being forced to work, was able to grind out the prize, pulling clear late to post a 6m margin. The inside second line makes it tricky.

RACE FOR RICHES (6) was sent to the post deep into the red for his heat from gate 3 but with no lead available, was forced to sit parked. With one last rally on the wire, he was only a blister from victory. The gate stings.

SELECTIONS: STAY FOOLISH (3), HAPPY AS CAN BE (9), FIGHT TO THE END (8), RACE FOR RICHES (6)
SUGGESTED BET: STAY FOOLISH (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

Winning the inaugural 2YO edition of this Series, COOL AND CLASSY (4) looks to have a stranglehold on the 3YO leg an move her stake earnings towards $500k. Unable to reel in ARRIVE in the Triad Final, she was fresh into the prelude for this with an effortless 9m margin. Added fitness can see her dominate.

SEASIDE GLORY (3) will take good benefit from the prelude where she was first up since May and faced with an awkward barrier. Easing for position and running home in smart order, she was shut down following successive wins, including a tough effort when parked. Improved gate and added fitness are a big asset.

THE LADY DIOR (5) has been runner-up in successive appearances with her effort behind COOL AND CLASSY a tough performance when parked. Only a half-neck away the start prior, the gate is against her.

LONDON BABY (2) is another that was fresh into last Friday’s Prelude and was jammed by gate 7. Sliding into the running line, she worked home in good order and can chase a podium payday.

SELECTIONS: COOL AND CLASSY (4), SEASIDE GLORY (3), THE LADY DIOR (5), LONDON BABY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: COOL AND CLASSY (4) to win

RACE NINE

Unbeaten in two career starts and landing the ace for this big money Final, all the favours look to in the corner of QUEEN TIDE (1). Pressing forward to find the front here last week against these same five opponents, she was able to see it out with 2m to spare. Added experience and benefit from the outing can see her capitalise.

SUMMER PUNCH (4) made her debut back in April when finishing at the rear of the field and she was duly shut down. Resuming in the prelude here last week, she had early speed to hold up before releasing for the trail. Holding on for the silver behind QUEEN TIDE, she can issue the challenge.

LACEYS LASS (5) appealed to the eye here last week when running on late when the widest runner to the wire. Yet to hit the board in nine starts, the gate stings.

GIRL POWER (6) rolled the sleeves and did the work outside QUEEN TIDE in the prelude, gripping on for the bronze in a blanket finish for the minor money. The gate makes it a big ask.

SELECTIONS: QUEEN TIDE (1), SUMMER PUNCH (4), LACEYS LASS (5), GIRL POWER (6)
SUGGESTED BET: QUEEN TIDE (1) to win

RACE TEN

A win was proving elusive for DESIRING DIAMONDS (1) despite some smart performances, including a 4th at Melton in the Nutrien Final. Returning to Qld and with seven weeks between appearances, she opened the account with an effortless victory and followed that with a win from the 10m tape. The threepeat is on.

KICKING HORSE (4) started the season with impact, winning his first three in succession. Runner-up in the Triad behind ICONIC IMAGE, he bounced back to claim the Springboard Final. Resuming last time off 40m when striking trouble, back to the front tape is a huge plus.

NONIS GOLD CLASS (2) has set the tempo at her past two starts and both occasion been gunned down in the stretch by DESIRING DIAMONDS. Placed in three of five for the season, she can step cleanly to feature again.

SELECTIONS: DESIRING DIAMONDS (1), KICKING HORSE (4), NONIS GOLD CLASS (2)
SUGGESTED BET: DESIRING DIAMONDS (1) to win
