OVERVIEW: WHERE IS WOODY (4) gave a great sight last start and weakened over the concluding stages. Fitter and can run well again here. SHOTTHEINTHEDARK (9) 3yo that has been racing well against some promising types. Drawn to get a good trail and should be running home late. Each way. STARLIGHT SASS (6) a winner of five races and wasn’t far away when first up for the Alford stable and can improve here. UP AND ABOUT (2) capable pacer that draws well and should be in a prominent spot and is a definite chance. AMERICAN VICTORY (10) broke through for a much deserved maiden win last start and might go on with it now. MAGARITARI (11) shows ability but faces a challenging draw here but will be doing her best work late. Has claims. KALKADOON DREAMING (5) racing well and can take up a forward position and is one of the chances. THE MOUNTAIN (7) arrives from NSW and is a winner of over $100k, can measure up here.

OVERVIEW: SIR NIPPA (10) did a few things wrong last start and ruined his chances but won first up for the new stable. Can make amends. THE DEMOCRAT (3) consistent pacer that is never far away and draws nicely here. Definite chance. SWISS LIGHTNING (4) speedy type that has been freshened up and can run well here from a front line draw. BACK TUXEDO (9) resumes here and is a dour type that can run well fresh. YANKEE GAMBLER (7) ran well last start to win, drawn wide here but has claims again. JEREMY LOU (5) returns to the Julian Attard stable and has teased over his career but showing consistency has been a challenge. Might run well fresh. GOZO MAJOR (2) finished off well to win last start. Drawn well and gets every chance again. SPEEDY HEALEY (11) hasn’t been far away and is a place and first four hope. DOCTOR GO JOH (8) is racing well but will need some luck from the draw and can’t be dismissed. OUR EYES EMOJI (6) is still a maiden but has ability. Blowout hope.

GO MY SON (8) SCATTERSHOT (6) DON KATTERZ (10) and PIPKEN (11) have awkward draws to contend with however can continue to show further improvement and are amongst the place and first four chances.

Second row can be driven more quietly and should be running home late. TINEY (11) could show improvement over the sprint trip and despite the tough draw has claims. CHAMPAGNES (3) DOUBLE DOT (4) ALDEBARAN SELENA (5) WISTFUL LADY (6) have front line draws and are amongst the place and first four chances.

GUNFORHIRE (5) has been racing against strong company and continues to race well and look suited in this class to be amongst the main chances again. IM WESLEY (1) and CALEDONIAN RANGER (2) have ideal draws to race on the speed and should be in this for a long way and will get every chance. DEUCE COUPE (7) last start winner and racing well. Drawn wide but has claims again. MAGIC MIKE (8) going better than his figure form reads and shouldn’t be ignored. ROSEBERG (3) improved run last start, place and first four claims along with AMORE ROCK (4).

Drawn wide but can fight out the finish. ROYAL SAXON (5) does tease a lot and has ability. Always a chance. SENNA STORM (1) BAKERS BANDIT (2) STARZINHEREYES (3) have favourable draws and will race handy whilst HERNIE (6) MY WAY (8) ROYLANCE (10) can’t be ignored.

IKARA (6) great training performance by Barry Ainsworth to win first up after a three-year layoff from the racetrack. Fitter and can run well again. NO REMORSE (7) broke his maiden status prior to the spell. Resumes here and has ability and can run well fresh despite the wide draw. RARITY ROCK (9) has been bursting to win another race and has claims again. SINGARA TED (1) racing well and just behind the placegetters. Best draw for a while and expect a good showing. JESSICAS STORY (5) speedy and has ability but continues to mix her form, always a chance. NOBLE COUNT (2) can show improvement from the draw and can’t be ignored.
