Please be aware of a number of programming changes which have been implemented at short notice, some of which are necessary due to the upcoming works at the Albion Park Harness Racing Club which involves removal of the light poles and lighting from the former greyhound track.
A summary of the programming amendments can be found below:
- Albion Park Thursday May 28
- APC28052601 - now Up to NR100 2138m of $11,000 PBD/BAND. NR Penalty event.
- APC28052602 – race stake now of $10,880. NR Penalty event.
- APC28052619 – race added Band 5 Pace 1660m of $10,880 RBD. NR Penalty event.
- APC28052620 – race added No Band Pace 2138m of $11,000 RBD. NR Penalty event
- Redcliffe Friday May 29
- REC29052614 – race added Open Discretionary Handicap 2613m of $11,620.
- Albion Park Saturday May 30
- Add QBRED Breeders Classic Consolations x 4 (due to the Albion Park venue being unavailable Tuesday June 2)
- Remove:
- Band 4 Pace
- Band 5 Pace
- Qualifying Pace
- Mares Open Pace
- Redcliffe Tuesday June 2 (new venue replaces Albion Park)
- Previously advertised program remains the same
- Albion Park & Redcliffe programs Thursday June 4 and Friday June 5 have swapped:
- Albion Park Thursday program now moves to Friday June 5
- Redcliffe Friday program now moves to Thursday June 4
- Add REC04062614 Open Discretionary Handicap 2613m of $11,620
- Albion Park Friday June 19
- Add APC19062619 – Open Pace 2138m of $14,980 PBD/NR/$L4.
- Add APC19062620 – Trotters Open Mobile 2138m of $11,620 RBD.
- General (effective June 1, 2026)
- A 2YO race code added to each race meeting to maximize opportunities for 2YO’s to achieve half points.
- Redcliffe condition updated & becomes “Restricted to horses that have not won a race with a total stake more than $6,500 at Albion Park, Menangle or Melton at their last 4 starts.”
- (formerly $5,500) increased to allow Albion Park winners of the same value race as Redcliffe to be eligible.
- Former ballot races scheduled at Albion Park meetings of a Thursday or Friday amended to:- Conditioned Pace – Horses no better than Band 5 that have not won more than $2,000 in their past 3 starts. Also eligible horses balloted from a Band 5 or Qualifying Pace on Saturday.
