Aiden De Campo will be looking for a repeat performance on last week as he heads into tomorrow night’s $100,000Hoist Torque Australia 2YO Colts and Geldings Final (2130m) with four chances, although he heads into the feature with guarded confidence due to the barrier draw.

“With where Ideal Beach is drawn, I’d probably be surprised if one of them won, but not on ability, more just on how the race is going to play out I think.” De Campo said.

De Campo draws barrier one with Last King Of Capel (Dylan Egerton-Green), barrier four with Bettor Behave (Trent Wheeler), barrier five with Wheelsofortune (Aiden De Campo) and barrier seven with American Machine (Joseph Suvaljko.

Aiden De Campo’s thoughts on each of his runners:

“Last King Of Capel has a good draw to earn, he probably doesn’t have as much ability as the other three, but he gets a good draw and he was pretty good in the heat.”

“Wheelsofortune was really good in the heat and has come on from it really well but he gets a bit of a tricky draw where he has to do a little bit of work in the run, so he will be dependent on how much work he has to do.”

“American Machine, it looks tough for him out wide but if its run upside down he’s got a heap of speed. He’s still probably learning the caper and a little bit green, and has done a few things wrong in the past, so, he’s still a work in progress.”

“Bettor Behave he’s got a good sprint on him, so he will just slide in and run a good race regardless. He probably needs the speed on, but he’s racing well.”

Likely race favourite Ideal Beach, for trainer Justin Prentice and driver Gary Hall Jnr has picked up barrier two in the Group 2 feature, with Prentice happy with how the horse is tracking going into the race.

“He went well in his heat and he should improve off that. I’m happy with him at home.

“I think Robbie’s horse (El Mystro) is the horse to beat. He’s unbeaten so he has to be.” Prentice said

The Robbie Williams trained El Mystro has drawn barrier 10, the inside of the backline and although disappointed with the draw, Williams is confident in the horses ability.

“He’s fit and well, ready to run a good race, the barrier hasn’t been kind, but we have the horse to overcome it if we can get some luck late in running.” Williams said
