FOLLOWING yet another incredible season Swayzee has been crowned the 2024 New South Wales Horse of the Year at today’s Gallagher Harness Racing NSW Annual Awards function at Menangle Country Club.

Solidifying his place as one of the most outstanding horses in the state's racing history, this prestigious honour comes after an exceptional season filled with impressive wins and remarkable performances, leaving racing fans and experts alike in awe of Swayzee's remarkable talent and consistency on the track.

Determined by a voting panel of harness racing media identities, Swayzee received most of the votes over his equine rivals to defend his NSW Horse of the Year title from 2023.

During the 2024 season, Swayzee had 10 starts for seven wins, including the NZ Cup, and three minor placings, earning prizemoney of $913,879.

Votes for Swayzee also saw him secure the KS Black & Co NSW Aged Entire/Gelding of the Year and NSW Aged Horse of the Year categories.

The Board of Harness Racing NSW would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the connections of the equine winners and their achievements last season and the participants, in what was another notable season for NSW.
