The Tasbred Two Year Olds get their time to shine, in the Group 2 Prydes Easifeeds Dandy Patch and Evicus finals in Hobart on Sunday night.

It wouldn’t be a juvenile Tasbred final without representation from the Paul Hill stable.

Since 2015 he has won five two-year-old finals.

He has another genuine contender for this year’s Evicus with Captaintreacherous filly Reely Nauti, who broke her maiden in her heat on 11 November.

It was the fourth race track appearance for the filly, who raced outside of the leader before grabbing the lead from Cee Tee Chelsea, with a head between the duo at the end of the mile event.

“It was a very tough effort, sitting out there running a last half in 58 (seconds),” said Hill ahead of Sunday’s $60,000 event.

“She is improving all of the time. She is one of those fillies that goes to one knee a bit. She isn’t too bad but is getting better each time,” added the trainer.

Reely Nauti has drawn barrier two on the second row for Sunday’s final, following out Iylac Pakaria, who suffered defeat for the first time in her four-start career when third to Gypsy Amour in the other heat, which was ran 2.2s quicker.

“She follows out a good beginner. I would rather be drawn there than out in six, seven, 11 or 12.

“It is a good field, and there’s some nice fillies in it. It will all come down to who gets a bit of luck,” Hill said.

The Dandy Patch is set down earlier on the card as race 2, and as a result, at the time of writing, will be on Sky Racing 2.

The race looked to be a match in two before last week’s prelude but was blown wide open at the end of the 2090m event, which was won impressively by the Rohan Hillier-trained De Goey, who finished off best to beat Bolt Your Socks On and Triedtotellya, in a mile rate of 1m 59.8s.

Favoured duo Karalta Artemis and Nyack finished fourth and fifth respectively, in the first two-year-old race over 2090m in the state for the season.

This Sunday’s meeting will be live hosted on TasracingTV by Duncan Dornauf, with the first race scheduled for 17:06.
