Please be advised that a selected range of registration based fees will be increased as of Saturday, 1 August 2026.

Note that the principal change to the existing fee schedule relates to the registration of foals to be born in late 2026 / early 2027.
The nominal registration fee of $350 is necessary to partly cover the costs associated with the microchipping of foals, collecting, processing and shipping hair samples for DNA testing and enrolling the foal in the NSW Breeders Challenge (if the foal is registered in NSW).
There are also amendments to the fee structure applicable to NSW Breeders Challenge nominations, eligibility and sustaining criteria, and these changes can be discussed with the HRNSW Futurities Team.
Other fee changes relate to the registration and renewal of racing colours, and the naming of horses not considered eligible for, or not sustained, in the NSW Breeders Challenge.
