Tasmanian 2026/27 Feature Race Calendar

Following industry consultation, Tasracing have now finalised the 2026/27 Harness Feature Race Calendar.

The items of note on the 2026/27 Calendar include:

  • The Group 1 Ladbrokes Tasmania Cup has been moved to December 19, 2026, and will be run as a one-off race without heats.

  • The December 19 meeting at Hobart will also feature a new $40,000 3YO & 4YO race over 2090m that will replace the Beautide 3YO Prelude and carry the same conditions as the Beautide.

  • The Hobart Pacing Cup will be run over 2090m at Hobart on December 6, 2026.

  • The Tassie Golden Apple meeting will remain in its current spot at Launceston on November 28, 2026, with heats two weeks earlier.

  • The Beautide will be run at Launceston on August 1, 2026. This night will also feature the Darrel Rockliff Graduate.

  • The Raider Stakes and Granny Smith (4YO Sires) Finals will be run over 2200m at Launceston on July 19, 2026.

  • The Tasmanian Derby and Oaks will move to August and be run over 2090m at Hobart on August 16, 2026.

  • The 2YO Sweepstakes Finals will now be run on the same night as the Tasmanian Derby and Oaks.

  • The Devonport Cup will remain at Launceston on January 30, 2027.

  • Due to the fall of Easter in 2027 the Easter Cup meeting at Launceston will be run on March 27, 2027.

  • The Doug Martin Danbury Park Cup and Shirley Martin Mother Of Pearl will be run at Launceston on October 25, 2026.

Final race dates will be subject to the completion of the 2026/27 race dates, with minimal movement of dates expected.
