Many of the biggest names in Queensland breeding have thrown their weight behind the 2026 Garrard’s Redcliffe Yearling Sale to be held at Redcliffe Paceway on Sunday, starting at 12 noon.

They include the Denning family’s Burwood Stud, who are offering six youngsters – all by colonial bred stallions. They include two colts and two fillies by The Storm Inside and colts by Ride High and Bling It On.

Tamborine couple Karina Johansen and Darren McCall have nominated three fillies with two by A Rocknroll Dance – both from leading North American families – and a filly by the three-time Queensland Horse of the Year Colt Thirty One.

Kevin Seymour’s Solid Earth has a two-prong entry headed up by a filly by the USA Breeders Crown and North America Cup winner Pebble Beach from the dual Group 1 winner Good Lookin Girl. He has also nominated a Downbytheseaside colt out of the QBred Triad and Victoria Oaks heat winner Aqua Miss.

Dr John Mammino, who brought out last year’s Redcliffe Sales Classic winner Magic Jujon, will be represented by a Rock N Roll Heaven filly out of a 1:52 half-sister to the QSBA 2YO Breeders Classic and QBred Triad 3YO winner Bonnie Jujon, the dam of Magic Jujon.

Other vendors with multiple representation at the sale are Aaron Taaffe, who has a Captain Crunch filly closely related to For Real Life and Tightrope and a For A Reason half-sister to recent winner Yogi, and Darren Wearne, who has entered two fillies, one by Rock N Roll Heaven and one by The Storm Inside. They are both from prolific New Zealand families.

Horses sold at the sale are all eligible for the 2YO Redcliffe Sale Race Classic in 2027 and the 3YO Classic in 2028, carrying minimum prizemoney of $175,000.

Most of the yearlings are eligible for the lucrative QBred Scheme offering $4 million in stakemoney and bonuses. They are also paid up for State-based breeding schemes such as Vicbred, NSW Breeders Challenge, Bathurst Gold Crown and Cobbitty Equine Classic.

Hard copies of the catalogue are available at the Redcliffe, Albion Park and Marburg tracks and Garrard’s Horse & Hound stores or phone Ebert & Co on 0404 050 483. The catalogue is available online at ebertauctioneers.com.au/yearlingsale.php
