Many of the leading breeders from Queensland and interstate have thrown their weight behind the 2026 Ladbrokes Sunshine Stars Yearling Sale to be conducted by Nutrien Equine and hosted by the Albion Park Harness Racing Club on Sunday, February 22.
The catalogue consists of 68 lots, 19 of which are being offered by interstate and overseas vendors.
The offering includes yearlings by 24 individual breeders and studmasters.
Local breeders with multiple representation at the sale are Greg Mitchell, who has entered six yearlings, Kevin Seymour (4), Baring Bloodstock (13), Burwood Stud (4), Lindsay and Mary Vagg (4), Megan Cockburn (4), Monarch Farm (3) and Terry Flynn (2).
The strong interstate benchmark includes Benstud Standardbreds with four lots, Wayne and Julie Loader (3), Wayne Ronan (3), Pat Driscoll’s Yabby Dam Farms (3), Michael Taylor’s Trotters Australia (2), the Toulmin family’s Oakbank Estate (1) and South Australian Gary Crocker (1).
New Zealand breeder Andrew Stuart and American cousins Marc Hanover and Gordon Banks are singly represented at the auction.
