Shepparton 2/12

R1 – 6:05pm – SHRC Members Night Pace - 1690m

10 – Miki Loch

2 – Alta Bayamo

5 – Owen The Saints

1 – High Flux

Strategy:

The Lisa Pitt stable is often a reliable go-to when it comes to new acquisitions, and Miki Loch fits the mould of horses they can quickly improve. Although he had just one start for the team as a 2yo before heading to the Riverina, he’s consistently shown the ability to run time. Back under Pitt’s care, natural improvement is expected.

BACK: 10 Miki Loch – 2 Units (win)

R2 – 6:30pm – Thank You Mooroopna Volunteers Pace – 1690m

9 – Riveera

4 – Highview Hammer

3 – Upright

8 – Wazowski

R3 – 7:00pm – Christmas Family Night Tues 23/12 Trot – 2190m

8 – Bennie And The Jets

1 – Starlight Red

5 – Settle The Bill

7 – Just As I Am

R4 – 7:34pm – VHRC Super Bonus Meeting Next Tues Concession Drivers Pace – 2190m

5 – Are Weasley

4 – Lochinvar Charm

1 – Beryls Boots

9 – Major Maurie

R5 – 8:08pm – Thank You Chris Hazelman Pace – 2190m

10 – Clear Left

11 – Yapper

9 – Big Sledge Hammer

2 – Rockin Gemma

Strategy:

Clear Left is on the quick back-up from Saturday night at Melton where he ran a strong third. He drops sharply in grade here and won’t know himself racing this level of opposition. The draw is tricky, so he’ll need a few things to fall his way, but on class he’s better than most of these.

BACK: 10 Clear Left – 2 Units (win)

R6 – 8:42pm – Central Tyre Service Maiden Pace – 1690m

9 – My Mate Ace

4 – Elizajane

2 – Elleegant Lane

6 – Miss Joplin

Strategy:

My Mate Ace was a total forgive run last start—travelling well before being severely checked out of the race. His previous run, charging home into third from an impossible spot, showed he’s ready to win. This isn’t an overly strong maiden, and he gets a great chance to break through.

BACK: 9 My Mate Ace – 2 Units (win)

R7 – 9:16pm – Willowood Farm Pace – 1690m

4 – Warrioress

5 – Totally Stunning

7 – Master Miki

1 – Bubblesonthebeach

Strategy:

Warrioress looks primed third-up after two solid placings in slightly stronger grade. She has good gate speed and now draws to use it. With Mark Pitt taking the reins, this is her best opportunity to notch her second career win.

BACK: 4 Warrioress – 2 Units (win)

R8 – 9:50pm – Crowbar Demolitions Maiden Pace – 1690m

1 – Eebeebee

7 – The Golden Hook

8 – Hezaflashone

5 – Touch Of Reality

Strategy:

Eebeebee gets a very similar set-up to stablemate Warrioress in the previous race—drawn to roll forward and control the race. Despite being a 15-start maiden, she’s racing less experienced and modest opposition, and this shapes as her best opportunity to win.

BACK: 1 Eebeebee – 2 Units (win)

R9 – 10:20pm – Goodfellows Maiden Trot – 2190m

5 – Sebs Gal

6 – Farstar

2 – Sammy Haller

8 – Pastor Dunbar
