DESPITE his impressive form Saint Sebastian is on the market.
Racing in top fashion, Saint Sebastian has won his last three outings, including Saturday night's Emerging Stars Trotters' Final at Globe Derby.
Although rapt with the son of Sebastian K, owner-trainer Samantha Hill revealed Saint Sebastian is for sale!
"He's a handy horse, which I tried to buy a couple of years ago," Hill explained. "When he finally became available about this time last year, I got him straight away.
"He has done a good job since I've had him, but is ready to move on.
"One of the reasons is he is not really a standing start proposition, which limits him a bit here.
"That said, I will try him again from the stand, but mobiles are more his go.
"They run more mobiles in Victoria for example, so he may be better suited there."
With Hill's husband, Wayne, in the cart, Saint Sebastian began well from barrier five, but was unable to cross Majestic Summer, which led from two.
Showing a tremendous amount of intestinal fortitude, Saint Sebastian reached the front in the last stride to score by a head from Majestic Summer, with Bishop George eight metres away third.
"It was a good tough run from him," Hill said. "He was racing well but was at the end of his tether before having a break and has come back even better this time.
"He is three from three since the let-up and I couldn't ask for more from him."
