Racing Queensland advises industry participants that it has withdrawn its funding from the upcoming Redcliffe Yearling Sale.

Whilst participants are still able to purchase horses offered through the Redcliffe Yearling Sale, which will be held on Sunday, April 6, RQ will not fund future editions of the Redcliffe Yearling Sale 2YO Heats/Final or the Redcliffe Yearling Sale 3YO Heats/Final.

RQ’s decision to withdraw its funding will not prevent the Redcliffe Harness Racing Club or a third-party from funding the races linked to the 2025 Sale should they wish to do so.

Furthermore, RQ advises it will not be supporting the Redcliffe Yearling Sale in its current format beyond 2025, this includes funding or programming races linked to the sale.

RQ’s decision will not impact any horse eligible for those races that were purchased at past sales.
