Ms. Durrant brings more than 25 years of experience in Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance within the financial services sector.

She has held senior executive roles, including Chief Risk Officer for major financial institutions, where she successfully managed risk frameworks and compliance strategies.

Ms. Durrant also has a strong commitment to community engagement, particularly in the equine sports sector, having served as a former board member of Pony Club Australia and the Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia. Additionally, she currently serves as a board member for the Pro Bono Financial Advice Network.

Ms. Durrant holds an MBA, a Master of Applied Finance, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Her appointment follows the conclusion of the distinguished tenure of Mr. Peter Nugent, who has served as a director of HRNSW for eight years.

Mr. Nugent's contributions to HRNSW, including his leadership roles on the Welfare and Education Committee, Finance and Audit Committee, and his pivotal involvement in the establishment and growth of the Welfare and Rehoming business, have been instrumental in the organisation’s success.

We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Nugent for his exceptional service.

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Durrant to the HRNSW Board.

We look forward to her significant contributions in shaping the future direction of HRNSW.
