Racing WA has announced that Gary Hall Jnr and Deni Roberts will represent WA at the Australian Drivers Championship on December 29 at Globe Derby, a first for WA powerhouse reinswoman, Deni Roberts.
The pair will venture to South Australia this weekend to compete against the countries best, with Gary Hall Jnr looking to repeat his 2019 performance when he took out the series.
“It’s always a privilege to represent WA.
“Hopefully Deni or I can get the win.” Gary Hall Jnr said.
Deni, who went down by a narrow margin in the recent Inter Dominion Final on board Minstrel NZ is driving in top form, with this season undeniably her best to date.
Roberts is just one of three female drivers in the series, and she hopes to end the year on a high.
“I feel very privileged to be representing WA in my first ADC (Australian Drivers Championship).
“I can’t wait to battle it out with the best and cap off a great season.” Deni Roberts said.
Racing WA’s Head of Harness is excited about this year’s series and is confident the WA team has what it takes to bring home the crown.
“We are sending a very strong driving duo with Gary Hall Jnr and Deni Roberts both driving in fantastic form.
“I am confident they will represent WA well.” Cameron Brown said.
The series kicked off in 2014 and has run yearly since it’s inception, with the exception of 2020 and 2021 when Covid19 wreaked havoc globally.
This year’s ADC Drivers:
WA: Gary Hall Jnr & Deni Roberts
SA: Wayne Hill & Gaita Pullicino
VIC: James Herbertson & Chris Alford
NSW: Ashleigh Delosa & Cameron Hart
QLD: Nathan Dawson & Grant Dixon.
Sunday’s Globe Derby fields will be released on Tuesday afternoon, December 24.
