The Queensland Summer Harness Schedule has today been unveiled, featuring eight action-packed meetings.

The summer calendar commences at Marburg on October 20, before racing heads to Albion Park for six weeks of feature events.

The Be Good Johnny Sprint – worth $30,000 – will commence proceedings on November 2, while the popular Peak Of The Creek also returns, providing horses with a National Rating from 55-70 the chance to compete in a $50,000 Final.

The unique series will see heats contested four nights prior to the Final, with connections then able to select their own barrier based on individual horse times run in the heats.

The schedule starts to heat up on November 9, with the Group 2 Queensland Cup and Group 3 Forever Gold Mares – both to be run for $50,000 – headlining the meeting.

The card will also host two $30,000 Listed 3YO Classic races, as well as the Group 3 Trotters Spring Sprint.

For the first time, a pair of Sunshine Stars Yearling Sale Classic Finals for two-year-olds have been added to the calendar on November 16, exclusively giving graduates of the sale the chance to race for $125,000 in stakes.

There will also be a mixed sex $50,000 Sunshine Stars 2YO Final run only for horses sold for less than $25,000 at the most recent sale.

With the festive season in full swing, Albion Park will host its annual Christmas Cups for both pacers and trotters on December 14, alongside The Creek Members Cup.

The Summer Schedule concludes on December 18 with the Redcliffe Christmas Cup, Trotters Christmas Cup and the Redcliffe Guineas.
