With $3,223,770 in 2-year-old progeny earnings, Downbytheseaside is a sire making a massive splash in the harness racing scene already. Australasian trainers are impressed, and his debut crop in North America have performed so well that he only had Captaintreacherous $3,58,498 above him on the  Leading  Money 2-year-old Winning Sires in 2021.

Australasian breakers and trainers have big raps on his progeny here and we are excited to see his first crop hit the race track this year in 2022.

In a breath-taking career Downbytheseaside was the equal fastest 2-year-old in history pacing 1:49.1.  In his freshman year he also paced a ‘World Record’ 1:50 on a half-mile track. As a 2-year-old he banked over $577,000 in purses and recorded eight wins.

As a 3-year-old Downbytheseaside won a staggering $1.6 million in stakes. In a crop of great horses (among them Huntsville and Fear The Dragon), he was named the 2017 Dan Patch 3YO Pacing Colt of the Year.

From a Woodlands Stud perspective Downbytheseaside ticks all the boxes for them . They expect him to be very popular with breeders going forward, with his exceptional looks, staggering juvenile speed, terrific gait, talent and pedigree.

Diamond Creek have announced his 2022 book is full and closed. This is at the new stud fee of $12,000.

Thankfully the Neds -APG Gold Coast Sale happening at 28 Ascot Ct, Bundall QLD, this Sunday the 23rd of January 2022, has 7 exciting prospects by the hottest new sire in the sport.
