07 January 2022

The new year period and COVID-19 restrictions has hampered the timeline to complete the necessary assessment and testing of the Missile Xtreme sulkies.

The manufacturers, Dux in Brisbane, have been extremely cooperative in the provision of all requested information and audit details regarding the sulkies, and all going well the three-day testing phase will be completed by the end of week beginning 17 January 2022.

Following this, the HRA Gear & Equipment Committee will convene to consider all of the information available, including independent engineering reports to determine if the current prohibition will be lifted.

HRA understands the frustration and inconvenience for both the manufacturer and participants caused by these unavoidable delays, but safety remains the primary focus.
