The markets for the TAB Inter Dominion Grand Finals at Menangle this Saturday night have gone into chaos following the barrier draws.
The Belinda McCarthy-trained Expensive Ego drew barrier one in the Inter Dominion Pacing Final and was $3 prior to the draw and firmed into $1.95 at one stage.
Expensive Ego has been a popular pick following the barrier draw.
His stablemate King Of Swing drew barrier 11 and went out to $2.40 after drawing the second row.
In the trotting ranks, Majestic Man firmed from $6 into $4.50 after drawing barrier two while Maori Law went out to $5.50.
Majestic Man is back to his best according to driver Anthony Butt following his Newcastle heat on Sunday where he finished fourth.
“He felt much better and is back where we want him to be,” said Butt. “This draw gives us options as opposed to being drawn off the back. “I’m confident he will lead.”
It was at Bathurst that Majestic Man’s Inter Dominion campaign looked to have unravelled after dropping out.
However, he bounced back with a fourth at Newcastle last Sunday in the final round.
At Newcastle Bathurst pacers Bundoran and Our Uncle Sam made their last bids to qualify for the Inter Dominion, which they did finishing first and second, respectively, in their heats.
Bundoran is trained by Amanda Turnbull and Our Uncle Sam is prepared by Chris Frisby and both trainers have starters at Bathurst tonight.
