SO MUCH has been written about Emma Stewart's remarkable presence during the Vicbred Super Series in recent years.
Dominating the futurities like never before, Stewart has won 26 Vicbred Finals during the past decade.
Stewart's haul breaks down to 11 two-year-old, 10 three-year-old and five four-year-old Finals.
What hasn't been as well publicised is Stewart's incredible record over the border...the South Australian border to be precise.
During the same period Stewart has captured seven two-year-old and six three-year-old Southern Cross Finals!
Stewart's raids at Globe Derby have also seen her snare two SA Pacing Cups and a pair of Derbys!
As for the Southern Cross, Stewart is poised to another two Finals to her tally at Globe Derby on Saturday night.
Stewart had three runners in last weekend's heats, with each emerging triumphant.
Treachery and Runaway Guest made a clean sweep of the three-year-old fillies’ qualifiers, while Encipher was in a class of her own in a two-year-old heat.
"We had another good night in the heats last week and can hopefully do it again in the Finals," Stewart said.
“We enjoy racing in Adelaide and having starters during the carnivals is something we aim for each year.”
Back to defend her title Treachery has drawn the outside of the second row, with Runaway Guest to come from gate nine.
"They haven't drawn the best, but it shouldn't be an issue," Stewart said. "I was very pleased with their runs in the heats and their work this week has been as good as ever."
An odds-on favourite, Encipher will come from barrier six.
The daughter of Captaintreacherous is no stranger to major victory at the venue having won the Group One The Allwood earlier this season.
"It is fair to say she is the class runner of the field, but it is a tricky draw and she has to get out there and get the job done," Stewart said.
"Elegant is her main danger and she's drawn well in three."
