Barrier one is the prized draw in tonight’s Breeders Challenge semi finals at Menangle.

Leading the charge is unbeaten two-year-old My Ultimate Byron who has the pole position in race seven.

The Jarrod Alchin-trained gelding is looking to make it seven wins in-a-row.

In the other colts and geldings semi final, Smaltese has drawn gate one also which has caught the eye of punters with the colt opening at $1.90 and firming into $1.45 at one stage.

The Brian Portelli-trained pacer ran faster than the Australasian two-year-old record in a trial at Menangle recently and won his heat comfortably on October 5, just three days after his trial where he clocked 1:50.2.

Promising filly Miss Ex has drawn barrier one in her Breeders Challenge semi final.

She won her heat at Menangle last week rating a personal best 1:53.8 and will face Madrid who has drawn barrier eight.

The iForm team have put together their best bets for Menangle tonight:

Menangle best bet

Race 9: B K Swy (8)

Very impressive last time and she can go back to back here.

Menangle next best

Race 5: Martini Stride (2)

Loved her first up run, she can settle in a gun spot and think she is a great bet.

Race 5: 2,4

Race 6: 4,2

Race 7: 1
