Mildura – 10 September 2021

RACE 9 – TENDERPRINT AUSTRALIA PACE (2190 MS)

Ryan Hryhorec, trainer of Gordon Girl advised subsequently from the event that he could not find any reason for the poor performance.  The mare has since been retired and sent to stud.

Geelong – 10 September 2021

RACE 6 – WINNING POST RESTAURANT PACE (2100 MS)

David Moran, trainer of Lochinvar Chief, advised subsequently from the event the gelding to have pulled up fine.  Mr.Moran will continue with the current preparation, but over the shorter distances for the next couple of starts before reassessing options moving forward. 

Bendigo – 11 September 2021

RACE 1 – DNR LOGISITICS PACE (2180 MS)

David Miles, trainer of Bring The Flave, advised subsequently from the event the gelding to have recovered well.   Mr Miles attributed the performance to the gelding pulling too hard over the longer distance.  Mr.Miles advised Bring The Flave would continue with the current preparation.

RACE 6 – OPUS GROUP AUSTRALASIAN TROTTING CHAMPIONSHIP (GROUP 1) (2650 SS)

Emma Stewart, trainer of Cover Of Darkness, advised subsequently from the event the horse to have recovered well.  Cover Of Darkness has had a light week of training since and Ms.Stewart will  continue with the current preparation.

RACE 7 – VHRC CADUCEUS CLASSIC (GROUP 1) (1650 MS)

Andy Gath, trainer of Wolf Stride, advised subsequently from the event that blood tests had returned clear however a follow up veterinary examination had identified back soreness and minor injuries to both hocks.  Mr Gath advised Wolf Stride has undergone treatment and would have a short break before continuing the current preparation.

RACE 9 – VHRC THANKS YEOMANS SLATE PACE (1650 MS)

Kent Harpley, trainer of Boxofchocolates, advised subsequently from the event the mare had recovered well.   However, Mr Harpley believes she may have been at the end of her preparation and has advised he plans to send Boxofchocolates to the paddock for a freshen up.

RACE 10 – ALLIED EXPRESS PACE (1650 MS)

John Nissen, trainer of Heaven In Locksley, advised subsequently from the event the gelding had recovered well.  Mr.Nissen was initially disappointed with the performance, however after reviewing the race as a whole attributed the finishing position to a quick mile rate (1.54.5) and the gelding being forced to cover ground out wide from the 600m.   Mr Nissen advised Heaven In Locksley would be continuing with the current preparation.

Maryborough – 13 September 2021

RACE 8 – MARYBOROUGH & DISTRICT ADVERTISER PACE (1690 MS)

Tim Butt, trainer of Swayzee, advised subsequently from the event the colt to have pulled up with no issues.  Mr.Butt attributed the performance to the colt being unsuited racing outside the leader and will continue with the current preparation.
