It was another great week of harness racing with two brilliant meetings in Hobart and Launceston. Cool Water Paddy was the star in Hobart, but it was the next generation of drivers stealing the show last weekend.

This weekend the $12,000 Launceston Mile is the feature race on Sunday where Easter Cup winner Scotterwillrev clashes with Cool Water Paddy in the small but select field.

Harness racing will also be held in Hobart on Friday night, with a strong Tasmanian presence at both Melton and Menangle on Saturday night.

Claiming Novice Drivers – the new Claiming Novice Drivers policy in the state is seeing new names in the winner’s circle, including Kayleb Williams and Bronte Miller, who drove doubles in Launceston and Hannah Van Dongen and Jordan Chibnall with winners in Hobart.

Tammy Langley – extended her lead on the female trainer’s premiership with a weekend treble. All three winners were driven by Dylan Ford, including Pawnbrokers Lad and Jackson Neptune in Hobart.
