In-form pacer Eye See Double will be chasing a hat-trick of wins in Hobart on Sunday evening when he contests the Tasmanian Veterinary Services Pace.
The Ivan Belbin-trained pacer has already notched up three wins this season, including his last start effort on 23 April, where he raced outside of the leader for the final 1400 metres of the race to prove too tough for his rivals in 2m 2.1s.
That win followed a Hobart victory on 18 April, where he led all the way to register a 3.7-metre win.
The five-year-old gelded son of American Ideal has been driven to victory in those outings by Rohan Hillier, who again retains the drive on Sunday where they have drawn barrier two on the second row.
They should be able to get a nice run through the field early with several horses drawn in front of them that will use their favourable barrier draws to advantage.
Hillier has a nice book of drives on the card, including Lorimermajor in the Nutrien Sprintlane Pace and will be out to go one better after a good second two weeks ago. The Rodney Ashwood-trained gelding is yet to miss a top-two finish in five tries on the Hobart circuit.
Easter Cup placegetter Issac will be having his first start since that Group 2 feature in early April and takes on a quality field, including his stablemate Cool Water Paddy who looks the one to beat.
Sunday’s nine-race card will be shown on TasracingTV and Sky Racing 1 from 17:17.
