Form Analysis by Darren Clayton

RACE ONE

Hitting the board at his past three in succession, MIGHTY JOLT (3) has good early speed and comes up with the gate to find early position. Releasing last start when the fav CHEERSTOLOU cam calling, he battled well for bronze in finishing 4m away. This looks within reach.

DEEBO (4) was taken off the gate from a wide alley last week and buried away as CHEERSTOLOU carved it out in front. Making good metres in a sub 55 individual last 800, he was runner-up two starts back behind FAKISTRA when beaten a head. An improved gate is a bonus.

CARBINEER (1) was asked to sit parked here two starts back and despite the tough trip was grinding to the wire when runner-up to RESILIENT. Early speed is the query here.

EAGLESPRIDE (10) struck trouble last start in the Members Cup which ended his chances. Beaten by gate 6 the start prior, he could have been closer with a clearer passage.

SELECTIONS: MIGHTY JOLT (3), DEEBO (4), CARBINEER (1), EAGLESPRIDE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: MIGHTY JOLT (3) to win

RACE TWO

The outside front-line gate poses a tough task for OUR MIKI DIVA (7) which is still chasing her first win since arriving in Qld. Buried from inside the second line last week, she was probing for space when 4m astern of the winner. Midfield to JENSVILLE two back, she can defy the gate.

SII SEMPRE TILLY (1) has the early speed to dictate her position and comes into this contest after minor placings in three of four starts since resuming from a spell. Making ground for 3rd last week behind OUT OF EDEN, she secures all the options to issue a challenge.

EYE SEE THESEASIDE (6) is only lightly raced and gives away plenty of experience each time she steps out. Covering plenty of extra ground here last week when under 3m from the passing lane winner PERFECTLY QUIRKY, she faces a tough gate for this.

LITTLE HOOFANANNY (2) has hit the board at her past four, the latest when closing wide off the track for silver behind LA MISTRESS. Tackling mare’s company is a plus from this gate.

SELECTIONS: OUR MIKI DIVA (7), SII SEMPRE TILLY (1), EYE SEE THESEASIDE (6), LITTLE HOOFANANNY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: OUR MIKI DIVA (7) to win

RACE THREE

Runner-up in two runs back from a spell, RISK TAKER (1) lands the ideal barrier to go one better and claim the W. Best of the chasers behind the clear out winner CALL TO ORDER last start, he was strong to the line deep off the track when resuming from gate 7. This set up looks ideal.

WATCHMEDAZZLE (3) was much sharper last start when taking a closing lunge to be just a head from the winner STILLYOURSHOT. Buried the start prior from inside the second line, he has good hustle off the arm and from this gate can get forward to throw down the challenge.

ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (8) secures the early options as the lone second line runner. Holding on for the silver last start behind BRONSKI ZULU, an economical trip can see him chime in.

BIGGER THE BETTOR (6) has been kept fresh since his last appearance when finishing midfield behind TREMENDOUS SENSATION. Only a half-head from that same winner two back, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: RISK TAKER (1), WATCHMEDAZZLE (3), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (8), BIGGER THE BETTOR (6)
SUGGESTED BET: RISK TAKER (1) to win

RACE FOUR

DARCYS FIREBALL (2) was unplaced through both heat rounds of the DJA before stepping back to the midweeks. Finding confidence and rhythm to put together three on end, he showed good speed to reel them in and take a 3m margin. From the front tape he can look to capitalise.

VAN SANK (3) is fast approaching two years since his last victory, however his recent efforts have been such that he gets the chance to arrest the slide. Stepping cleanly before taking cover last start, he was just 5m from GOLDEN SUNSET. The small field and a forward position can see him challenge.

ZEALOUS SPUR (8) rolled forward to sit parked last start and fought hard to hold on for the bronze behind GOLDEN SUNSET. Runner-up to GET USED TO IT the start prior, he is always in the mix.

BANFF (1) is generally safe off the tapes and from the inside lane can secure the right trip. Chasing home to be unplaced behind DARCYS FIREBALL his past two, the front tape helps.

SELECTIONS: DARCYS FIREBALL (2), VAN SANK (3), ZEALOUS SPUR (8), BANFF (1)
SUGGESTED BET: DARCYS FIREBALL (2) to win

RACE FIVE

Unplaced in his first two runs following a spell, CALL TO ORDER (2) grabbed minor placings at his next two from tough gates. Defying gate 7 here last week when left wide and powering up in the middle stages to take control, he pulled clear for a huge victory. Off that performance over this same trip, he should be repeating.

CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (6) started from the second line last time out and was trying to make a closing raid when midfield behind CALL TO ORDER. Under 3m from the winner two starts back, he looks the one to issue the challenge.

SUPA AMERICAN (1) was sent out as the fav last start from gate 2 where he sat parked and applied the heat. Fading over the latter stages, it had followed a smart win from gate 6, with the options a big asset here.

LUVBITE (5) was asked to sit parked last start and fought to the wire when just missing the money. A tricky gate makes it another tough task to overcome here.

SELECTIONS: CALL TO ORDER (2), CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (6), SUPA AMERICAN (1), LUVBITE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CALL TO ORDER (2) to win

RACE SIX

Locked away as the field found single file soon after the start last time out, TIMS A TROOPER (5) chased valiantly for the bronze as LEAP TO FAME carved out a sizzling 53.2 last 800 from the front. Just behind the money in the Blacks A Fake the start prior, he can defy the gate and look to put them away with a fifth season victory.

TURN IT UP (3) was back in winning form last start when tackling standing start conditions. With safe manners, he was sent forward and taking control was able to fend off the challengers to score a smart win from the 20m tape. With the left-hand blinker treatment, he can be in front soon after the start to put himself in a challenging position.

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (1) settled rearward here last week and never looked a threat when 6m astern of the winner CAPTAIN HAMMERHEAD. With options and from the gate, he can feature.

SELECTIONS: TIMS A TROOPER (5), TURN IT UP (3), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (1)
SUGGESTED BET: TIMS A TROOPER (5) to win

RACE SEVEN

Finding the front last week, SWEET AGENDA (4) was out of tickets after spending them all in a 55.2 opening half. Trying to fight, she had no answer in the stretch in fading out. With the chance to dart across again here and far less pressure looking apparent, she can atone with victory.

AURORA JOY (1) should secure the perfect trip behind the action from this gate. Descending on them from a second line barrier to score in the midweeks two starts back, she was asked to sit parked last start in a brave effort. Back to her best pattern against her own sex from this gate, she can challenge.

REASON TO SHINE (7) is never too far away and here last week grabbed the bronze when making a late play as IMA QUEEN BEE arrived. Despite the tough gate, she can feature.

BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (5) was a Redcliffe winner four starts back when making the most of the perfect trip behind the leader, pouncing in the stretch. Unplaced in all three since, she can turn it around.

SELECTIONS: SWEET AGENDA (4), AURORA JOY (1), REASON TO SHINE (7), BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (5)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET AGENDA (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

With two runs back from a spell, the set up looks ideal for CATSEYE BEACH (2) to close his year how it started- with a victory. Not suited last start when parked in a slick mile from gate 6, the start prior he went within a head of the winner ROCKET CITY. Taking control with his early speed, he can look to dictate.

SO SIRIUS (1) made a mess of the start last time out at the standing 2138 and was never in the mix. Making good metres when under 4m from the winner the start prior at those same conditions, he returns to the mobile here. With the chance to follow the action, he can throw down the challenge.

HOT AND TREACHEROUS (5) did not have much go his way last start when chasing home CAPTAIN HAMMERHEAD. Resuming from a spell with that performance, added fitness and the small field assist his claims here.

SELECTIONS: CATSEYE BEACH (2), SO SIRIUS (1), HOT AND TREACHEROUS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CATSEYE BEACH (2) to win

RACE NINE

With a close to perfect record on this deck, CHEERSTOLOU (1) secures the gate to chalk up another victory. Running successive sub 1.50 miles in four day to sweep the Peak of the Creek, he chased bravely for 2nd behind RUBY RULES at his next outing. Bouncing back last start with a dominant victory, he will be hard to stop.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (3) was back in winning form here last week when sent forward to control the race from the breeze. Putting the leader to sleep and then holding off a late challenge to claim the W, he can be handy enough to issue some form of challenge.

MISTER REACTOR (8) should enjoy an economical trip from this gate and be ready to offer when the gaps arrive. A winner from the stand three back, he will be trying to muster in the stretch.

RESILIENT (5) made full use of his early hustle here two starts back, taking control and dictating to a 2m margin. Not much went right last start and with better luck, he is a podium player here.

SELECTIONS: CHEERSTOLOU (1), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (3), MISTER REACTOR (8), RESILIENT (5)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1 / 3-5-8 / 3-5-8

RACE TEN

The two newcomers to the Turpin stable look to add the intrigue factor into this contest as they both make their Aus debuts. ALWAYSBJOY (2) has only started twice, finishing 3rd at her last outing back in NZ. With both opening the pipes in the same trial, this filly was never asked to extend. A market watch is recommended.

HAVTIMETODREAM (4) is the other newcomer to the Turpin stable that will be making her first appearance on this side of the ditch. Arriving with two placings in four starts, her last race outing was a 2nd in the Deep South of NZ. Making metres late along the passing lane in a trial, she is under watch.

MYTHICAL DRAGON (1) broke through for a maiden victory two starts back when making full use of gate 2. Pressing to the front and then holding on to a 2m margin, he should receive the right run to feature.

SELECTIONS: ALWAYSBJOY (2), HAVTIMETODREAM (4), MYTHICAL DRAGON (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
