RACE 1: 16:52pm Smithawards Pace 1609m

This is for the maiden pacers and it’s a tough one as usual. UNMATCHED (4) wasn’t in the mood when resuming so happy to give another chance and he brings his best as that will see him right the finish. MARV DREAMING (3) and MEL RUSTY KITA (5) are capable on their night so from their good draws should figure. SPORT WATCHER (8), FAR LEFT FLETCH (9) and TRUE IMAGE (11) are a trio to include for the wider exotic players. CHEAT THE STORM (2) resumes and can figure at odds.

LIKELY LEADER: Cheat the Storm and Mel Rusty Kita will be looking for the early lead.

RACE 2: 17:21pm Ladbrokes Odds Surge Pace 1609m

Here we have a 45-49 and MANINKY MOONSHINE (7) will be driven aggressive early and if bullied her way across she will take plenty of catching. IDEN REGAL WAVE (3) is another that likes to be on speed so will hold his ground early and can win. DEBT TILL WE PART (12) has been close up of late so has to be included. I OF THE HURRIKANE (8) is always around the mark and draws to get a soft trip so can figure. BINALONG BAY (2), ITSMENOTU (4), ALBERIO (9) and GOBSMACKED (11) are a quartet for the wider exotic placings.

LIKELY LEADER: Maninky Moonshine will look to work across Iden Regal Wave and Binalong Bay early.

RACE 3: 17:52pm Fehlbergs Produce 2yo Fillies Sweepstakes Heat One 1609m

We see a disappointing field of five to go around in the first heat of the Sweepstakes for the fillies.  DAISYPEA (4) resumes off a break who did go out a winner so should only be improved so will be the one to beat. MY FATAL CHARM (2) was good last and will be fitter and should be first to the pegs so gets every chance to go one better. STAYZBETTER (3) ran second on debut and is another that will be fitter so looks next best. IDEN LADYBYRD (1) and BELLAS ANGEL (5) are both on debut and will pay to watch the market.

RACE 4: 18:22pm Tasmanian Horse Transport Pace 2090m

This is a 55-59 where talented 2yo ARRHYTHMIA (3) will be looking to beat the older pacers again and despite this being stronger she looks up to the task. SWEET DIXIE (1) is working up to a win and draws ideally so will be right in the finish. FLEETWOOD ROCK (10) drops right back in grade here and is working up to a win so has claims. IMPERIAL LAZ (2), THE VIXEN (6), MONEYS NO ISSUE (8) and PUNTARNO STRIDE (9) all have to be included for the wider exotic placings.

RACE 5: 18:52pm Fehlbergs Produce 2yo Colts & Geldings Sweepstakes Heat One 1609m

This is the Sweepstakes heat for the Colts and Geldings and brings together a good field. HEY FRANCO (1) comes up with the pole so has options early looks to get every chance and is the hardest to beat. CHAINSMOKE (4) creates interest as was well backed on debut then took on some very smart types so will be looking to bounce back. BARBER SHOP (5) shown plenty in first prep and should be improved so has to be included. RAINBOW RANGER (2), SOLO SAFARI (6) and QUALIFY (10) are a trio improving so wouldn’t entirely shock. IYLAC CHAMBER (9) is well bred youngster on debut who has trailed well so watch closely.

RACE 6: 19:22pm The Beautide 2nd August Pace 2090m

This is for the 60-64 pacers where RAY DAN (6) will be looking to continue on his winning ways and has shown versatility so will be right in the finish despite the draw. KEEPERS IDEAL (3) was disappointing last time but has the draw to bounce back so keep safe. DRESSED IN GOLD (5) has his chance last time but this looks easier so will be a major player. DENNY ROCKS (4), WILL HE PIKE (7), ONEOFTHELADS (9) and MONTGOMERY BURNS (10) are a quartet to include for the wider exotic placings.

LIKELY LEADER: Rocknovertime and Dressed in Gold will be pushing forward.

RACE 7: 19:52pm Moreys Tours Pace 1609m

Here we have a 65-74 pacers and brings a handy field together. POWER UP (2) was impressive at first local run and draws well so will look to take full advantage of it and looks the hardest to beat. ANOTHER NIEN (8) if brings his form of a month ago will be right in the finish from trailing draw. ROYAL APPOINTMENT (5), JAMES CAGNEY (6) and WE SALUTE YOU (7) are a trio that can figure if the breaks come their way.

RACE 8 20:22pm Ladbrokes Quick Multi Pace 2579m

This is the fast class race of the night. VANQUISH STRIDE (6) was the giant killer last week so only needs to run up to that effort to be the one to beat again despite the draw. WATERMELON SUGAR (3) is racing well and has the draw to be a major player as draws soft. GLENLEDI ELVIS (5) has been below his best of late but this is a race that he can bounce back. OUR BIG SHEW (1) comes up with the pole so can improve.

RATINGS: 6-1 3-4s 5-2

LIKELY LEADER: One Big Shew will look to hold a forward position with Anything Goes pushing forward.

RACE 9 20:49pm Prydes Easifeed Pace 2090m

The last of the night is for the 50-54 pacers. We see THE BRIDE (2) returns as a 3yo taking on the older horses but looks to find a winnable race and has options from her draw so is the one to beat. ROCK THE TABLEAU (5) and ROCKS ROY (6) are sit-sprinters so only needs to be close enough to get their chance late to figure. ANGELSHAVETIME (3) and TWILIGHT BEACH (4) are next best and can place.
