Form Analysis by Craig Rail

Race 1:

OVERVIEW: It is an open trotting race to commence the program with many chances. RINGER WELLS (4) was resuming since an unplaced effort in the Super Series Final when sixth at Kilmore. He should be fitter after that run and has the class to figure in the finish. RIGHT OF REPLY (2) led throughout and produced a dominant performance at Cranbourne last outing. He is a good chance of finding the lead again and is worth an investment. AI SEDHAI (10) was resuming since a sixth in the Bacchus Marsh Cup when she finished well for third at Ararat. She should be sharper after that performance and is worth an investment. MONT SALLY (6) is building up a consistent record and finished off well at her latest third so she is worth thought. Other chances include LOVE WHO (1), FREMARKS PEGGY (5), HIGHPOINT (8), NOBLE COUNT (9) and IZARRA (12).

EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely leader), 1,6

SELECTIONS: RINGER WELLS (4), RIGHT OF REPLY (2), AI SEDHAI (10), MONT SALLY (6)

RATINGS: 4/ 2,10/ 1,6/ 5,8,9,12/ FIELD

SUGGESTED BET: RINGER WELLS (4) each way

Race 2:

OVERVIEW: SCHERGER THAT (8) is awkwardly drawn but he is a quality 3yo pacer and chased gamely for second behind Golden Tribe last outing. He is capable of going one better under these conditions. ODIN (11) ran a big race after striking trouble mid-race when a fast finishing fifth at Ballarat then worked home well for third in a sizzling mile rate of 1.53.1. He is racing in peak form and must be considered as a winning chance. SASSYOLA (9) was headed off at the start then moved away from the inside in the early stages when a game third in the Wangaratta Cup. She is worth thought again from her trailing draw. FOREGONE CONCLUSION (7) followed a brave third at Charlton with a victory at Wangaratta on Sunday. He has claims along with WOODLEA DIEGO (4).

EARLY SPEED: 4 (possible leader), 1,6,7

SELECTIONS: SCHERGER THAT (8), ODIN (11), SASSYOLA (9), FORGONE CONCLUSION (7)

RATINGS: 8/ 11/ 4,7,9/ 1

SUGGESTED BET: SCHERGER THAT (8) to win

Race 3:

OVERVIEW: ULTIMATE JOY (10) finished third in the Home Grown Classic then followed with a victory at Melton, where she led throughout. She took on the classy pacer The Narcissist in a sensational mile rate of 1.50.8 at her latest attempt so she is worth another chance under these conditions. WRITTENINTHESKY (5) finished fourth behind Golden Tribe and Scherger That at Geelong last week and might find this race to be a little easier. She is racing consistently and is worth a ticket each way. HEAVENLY BRIGADE (9) failed to beat a runner home at Geelong but she met a strong field and her form prior was sound. She can sprint to the line quickly with the right trail forward so she rates as a value chance. LENARD ESS (7) and ROCKAWAY BEACH (8) are also capable of showing up without surprising.

EARLY SPEED: 4 (likely leader), 5,6

SELECTIONS: ULTIMATE JOY (10), WRITTENINTHESKY (5), HEAVENLY BRIGADE (9), LENARD ESS (7)

RATINGS: 10/ 5/ 7,8,9/ 4

SUGGESTED BET: ULTIMATE JOY (10) to win

Race 4:

OVERVIEW: BLAZIN HEAVEN (10) performs best when she is close to the lead so she is poorly drawn but her form is strong enough to warrant respect. She worked forward to find the lead and defeated Monsieur Flamel (won since) then followed with a third behind the smart pacers Cigano and Scherger That. SASSCILIAN (3) gained a nice trail and just failed to gun down Monsieur Flamel last outing. He is racing in good form and is drawn to go well again. REALLY SMARTIE (5) has been finding the line strongly over the past few weeks and is worth thought. IMA CHARMA (4) is a fast beginner and has the ability to give a bold showing. He recorded a mile rate of 1.56.2 when he scored at Melton on December 13.

EARLY SPEED: 4 (likely leader), 2,3

SELECTIONS: BLAZIN HEAVEN (10), SASSCILIAN (3), REALLY SMARTIE (5), IMA CHARMA (4)

RATINGS: 10/ 3,5/ 4/ 2,8

SUGGESTED BET: BLAZIN HEAVEN (10) each way

Race 5:

OVERVIEW: BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE (10) settled midfield and finished off well for second behind Jessicas Story at Ballarat on March 06. She strikes a suitable assignment now and is capable of going one better. ALLWATFUNJINGLES (9) took on much stronger opposition when unplaced behind Heza Gun at Melton last week. He finished off well for second behind Baarlinee prior and is worth an investment against this grade. OFF YOUR FACESKI (3) performs best when he is close to the lead so he will appreciate his first front line draw for a long time. He is a possible improver and QUERENCIA (7) has won a trial by a large margin since his first up eighth at Shepparton.

EARLY SPEED: 3 (possible leader), 1,4,5

SELECTIONS: BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE (10), ALLWATFUNJINGLES (9), OFF YOUR FACESKI (3), QUERENCIA (7)

RATINGS: 10/ 9/ 3,7/ 6,8

SUGGESTED BET: BEAUTIFUL SUNRISE (10) to win

Race 6:

OVERVIEW: ONE OFF (8) is awkwardly drawn on the inside of the second line but he should be competitive under these conditions. He has been placed in four of his seven starts for the season and missed out narrowly behind Alook To Like at Stawell three starts ago. ZARAS ALL GOOD (4) is resuming since December and is returning from a failed South Australian campaign. She performs best when she is able to lead and should give a forward showing from her good draw. ONA MERRY DANCE (3) has been placed in two of her past three starts against similar opposition and is worth thought again. SILVER DOMINO (5) and DI ANGELO (10) are both capable of showing up without surprising.

EARLY SPEED: 4 (likely leader), 2,3,6

SELECTIONS: ONE OFF (8), ZARAS ALL GOOD (4), ONA MERRY DANCE (3), DI ANGELO (10)

RATINGS: 4,8/ 3/ 5,10/ 1/ FIELD

SUGGESTED BET: ONE OFF (8) each way

Race 7:

OVERVIEW: CAPITALISM (2) finished off strongly when an eye-catching third behind Golden Tribe in a mile of 1.55.4 at Cranbourne last outing. He has the best draw out of the major chances and gets his chance to return to winning form. NINEDOLLA TOASTIE (10) has been placed at her past nine starts and deserves to break through for a win. She raced without cover and went down fighting when a brave second behind Montana Pride at Ballarat last week. ROXELLA (6) led out then took cover when third behind Golden Tribe at Geelong last outing. She led throughout at a Shepparton victory prior and should continue to build on her consistent record. ARTIST (5), MY ULTIMATE SASSY (7) and ROCKNROLL ROCKET (8) are all worth thought in multiple combinations.

EARLY SPEED: 6 (likely leader), 2,3,5

SELECTIONS: CAPITALISM (2), NINEDOLLA TOASTIE (10), ROXELLA (6), ROCKNROLL ROCKET (8)

RATINGS: 2/ 6,10/ 8/ 5,7

SUGGESTED BET: CAPITALISM (2) to win

Race 8:

OVERVIEW: HOME AND DRY (8) was rewarded for his consistent form when he led throughout to score at Ballarat on March 06. He gets into this race with the aid of a concession claim and should be competitive again. JAY BEE (4) was in good form during the Spring with five wins in quick succession but she is yet to be placed in five starts for the season. She possesses early speed and is a good chance of finding the lead so she gets her chance to return to winning form. TASTE IT (5) was placed at Kilmore three starts ago and has the early speed to be prominent in the early stages. ETIZ AMODEL (7) delivered a career best mile rate of 1.57.5 when she led out then took cover and ran away from her rivals at Geelong. She is not as well drawn for this assignment but she is meeting a field of similar quality so she is worth thought again.

EARLY SPEED: 4 (likely leader), 5

SELECTIONS: HOME AND DRY (8) JAY BEE (4), TASTE IT (5), ETIZ AMODEL (7)

RATINGS: 8/ 4,5/ 7/ 6/ 9

SUGGESTED BET: JAY BEE (4) each way

Race 9:

OVERVIEW: PROHIBITED GRACE (2) won the Breeders Crown Final last season and is much better drawn than her first two efforts since resuming from a spell. She struck trouble approaching the home turn and finished off well for a game fourth behind Keayang Lavita last week so she can return to winning form. EWING (3) is resuming since a ninth in the Super Series Final in September. He was runner up at a recent Melton trial performance and has the class to figure in the finish. NABRINA (5) produced a strong performance to win the Breed for Speed Bronze Final then followed with a third at Geelong, where she again raced without cover. She is a strong mare and is racing in peak form so she is worth thought again. LADY IN THE SKY (4) and OLD VILLA BOY (6) both are racing well enough to figure in the finish.

EARLY SPEED: 2 (likely leader), 3,4,6,7

SELECTIONS: PROHIBITED GRACE (2), EWING (3), NABRINA (5), LADY IN THE SKY (4)

RATINGS: 2/ 3,5/ 4/ 6/ 8/ 1,7

SUGGESTED BET: PROHIBITED GRACE (2) to win
