Race 1
CUZZY BRO (3) arrives back in the state for a new stable, and if brought his 2025 Raider Stakes winning form, he should take some beating. Was given a soft trial a week ago, and from the good draw, would expect him to settle handy on speed. Not sure if he has the speed to lead, although is it a very even front line, where stablemate MAGIE JOE (5) may have a look early, and has been performing well from bad draws of late. HAMMER DAN (4) also has handy gate speed to find a forward position and looks to be a good winning chance. LYNRYD SKYNRYD (7) was a good 3rd last start in a harder field from a nice trailing draw, but cops the outside gate here, but he could be the one that launches early if asked. JAMES CAGNEY (6) is always running home, RAY DAN (2) has the ability if he produced his best, whilst TOLD YOU TWICE (8) may be the improver the pegs draw, after racing in strong races of late.

Staking Strategy: CUZZY BRO (3) is the class horse and with the right run he should be winning, but also a small bet on LYNRYD SKYNRYD (7) who can cross them all at the start. 2 unit win – CUZZY BRO (3) & 1 unit win – LYNRYD SKYNRYD (7)
Race 2
LUVTHAT (4) drops back to a lifetime wins race, and has been racing well against older horses of late. He would take some beating if able to find the front over the mile. SPORTS WATCHER (3) is a maiden but looks suited to be first to the pegs and get her chance to finish on the podium. LUVATINNY (7) and PIROTIC (9) couldn’t make ground in a very slick mile their last starts, but will be in the finish with any luck in running. CUZZY JUNIOR (10) and EVERYTHING BUT THE (11) are improving types but will require good speed on early and gaps to come there way to win, but look for them to both be finishing off well. SNIPER SANZ (8) was a nice maiden winner but will be relying on plenty of luck from the inside back row draw behind the (1) who has some gate speed, but is yet to finish off in its race starts.

Staking Strategy: PIROTIC (9) gets a nice trailing draw, and will loom as the winner at some point. 1 unit win – PIROTIC (9)
Race 3
PHOTO FIRST (9) is going for 4 on the trot, and strikes an even field to do so. He gets a nice trailing draw to sit midfield to then get his chance to run over the top again. IDEN LADY LINCOLN (3) returns back to the mobile start, and if was able to find her way to the front, she could take some catching. MISTA EAGLE (1) and SHOEBEES SPIRIT (2) get some nice draws to sit on speed and get their chance in the finish, whilst REPETITIVE (5) was seen hitting the line well last start and may push the button early to sit on speed. MIGHT AND TEMERITY (4) , COLBY SANZ (6) and MONTGOMERY BURNS (7) are going well and will be relying on some speed on throughout to get into the finish, whilst NATIONAL NEWS (8) last 2 runs for the new stable haven’t been as bad as they read on paper.

Staking Strategy: SHOEBEES SPIRIT (2) will sit on speed with cover and looks hard to hold out late, whilst a saver bet on IDEN LADY LINCOLN (3) who may be able to force her way to the front. 3 unit win – SHOEBEES SPIRIT (2) & 1 unit win – IDEN LADY LINCOLN (3)
Race 4
Another even race over the mile distance, where the better performed horses again draw the back row. GOBSMACKED (11) past 2 runs have been very good on the sectionals, and will be looking for some nice cover out wide to take him into the race. STEPUPNDANCE (1) gets the pole draw and has some speed and should get her chance from there. IDEN REGAL WAVE (2) could be the early leader and gets his chance to return to form, whilst HARBOUR SPRINGS (3) got held up on the final corner before finishing off okay last start, and should be able to find a position on speed. JEREMY WELLS (9) again gets a nice trialling draw, but continues to struggle to be the winner, and SINISTER (8) will be relying on the (1) to hold a forward position, but will be finishing off well if gaps come his way.

Staking Strategy: GOBMACKED (11) looks to get a nice cart into the race 3 wide off the (10), and is ready to win again. 2 unit win – GOBMSMACKED (11)
Race 5
A quick fast front row here, so expecting a very fast first quarter over the mile. SAPPHIRE GAMBLER (1) had no luck last start at Scottsdale, and looks to get a nice trailing pegs run, most likely behind stablemate MODERN JIVE (2), who couldn’t finish off after a fast 27.5 quarter early last start. IMPERIAL LAZ (4) and WILL HE PIKE (3) both possess great gate speed and expect them to also come out looking for a forward position also. YARECKON IM SWEET (4) and COOLANDCOLLECT (6) both made some ground on the pegs last start, and look like needing to do the same here. SUE NIEN (2) was a good 2nd first up, and should be suited by the nice trailing draw, whilst SIR NIPPA (11) hasn’t had things go his way in both runs in the state, but been well supported both times so would expect a forward showing if he behaved.

Staking Strategy: Looks crazy speed up front here, so with some luck in running, SUE NIEN (9) will get her chance late. 1 unit win – SUE NIEN (9)
Race 6
SHALLOW BEACH (5) was wide early before sitting outside the leader and still winning well in fast time last start. No reason he can’t do the same again here, and looks a tad easier field even. OH NO NEVER AGAIN (1) will show his customary gate speed and be better suited on the pegs compared to his past few, whilst DEBT TILL WE PART (8) gets a nice trailing draw and will be running home well if gaps appear. HOWSWEETTHESOUND (11) misbehaved last start, but his runs prior when on speed would take him make him hard to hold out late with any luck, whilst COLBY ART (6) went good first up for new stable at St Marys but cops an awkward draw. CINOCAL JAMANE (9) is best of the rest from the nice trailing draw after not handling the stand starts very well of late.

Staking Strategy: DEBT WILL WE PART (8) hasn’t won for 18 months, but gets the perfect draw to be running onto the podium here. 1 unit win & 2 unit place – DEBT TILL WE PART (8)
Race 7
KENYA (1) gets back to a favourable draw for the first time in a while, and claims into the race with the concession driver. ANGELSHAVTIME (2) has sharp gate speed when asked and could cross to the pegs early, before possibly relenting the front to KIAVINO STRIDE (5) who only knows one way and that’s forward with a solid tempo. JILLIBY JAY SEA (4) has handy gate speed and expect him to sit on speed from the draw, and will appreciate getting back to a mobile start. All horses on the back row have been racing well without winning often, led by RESURGENT WARRIOR (9) who may have to lead the 3 wide train, but his previous 2 runs before no luck last start were quite good. MONEYS NO ISSUE (10) and DAZZLE ME (11) should be running home well with cover if there’s speed on up front, whilst DONNY IN PARIS (8) will be relying on gaps to appear.
