Form Analysis by Darren Clayton
RACE ONE
With just one defeat in seven outings here at The Creek, CHEERSTOLOU (5) was a close 2nd on that occasion from inside the second line. Completing a hat-trick of victories last time with another dominant power running display, he can press the button, take control and force the opposition to tap out.
DISTRICT ATTORNEY (10) has place in four of his past five starts, the latest when not seeing gaps until the race was gone as TIGER BAND WAGON dictated from the front. Attacking the line strongly behind HOT AND TREACHEROUS the start prior, the gate makes it a tough challenge.
ALBY TWO CHAINS (2) will appreciate the improved gate after landing the second line last time out when forced to make a wide run behind TIGER BAND WAGON. He is a podium hope.
MYDADSAID (3) will also enjoy starting closer to the pegs after being faced with the outside front line last week. Sent forward in the middle stages and game in defeat, he has claims.
SELECTIONS: CHEERSTOLOU (5), DISTRICT ATTORNEY (10), ALBY TWO CHAINS (2), MYDADSAID (3)
SUGGESTED BET: CHEERSTOLOU (5) to win
RACE TWO
Finishing in the top two in all four starts since returning from a break, RISK TAKER (2) finds the gate to be handy to the action and chase a 14th career victory. Best of the chasing pack behind CHEERSTOLOU last start, he controlled it from the front to score at the mile two back.
BIGGER THE BETTOR (1) eased from gate 5 last week and angled to the pegs to search for an economical trip when first up in eight weeks. Strong to the line when 2m astern of the winner MULLUM HANK, he secures all the options from this gate to throw down the challenge.
BASILISK BOB (4) has stepped up in recent outings and from this gate can look to make further inroads. Scoring a qualifying victory last start with a 3m margin, he is in the mix from this gate.
CONGO LINE (10) looks the best chance of the off-pace runners and if the tempo is hot, has the close out speed to make his presence felt. Luckless with no space last start, if he can settle in the right spot, he has claims.
SELECTIONS: RISK TAKER (2), BIGGER THE BETTOR (1), BASILISK BOB (4), CONGO LINE (10)
SUGGESTED BET: RISK TAKER (2) to win
RACE THREE
Not seen since the 4YO Triad Final when finishing down the line after a tough trip, FACT FINDER (3) will be much better suited here after second line gates at his last three outings last season. Strong to the line when 2m from IN EXCESS two starts back, he has trialed in good order for a first up raid.
GEM PUNTER PETE (1) was a midweek winner from standing start conditions two starts back when stepping to the front and taking them all the way. Back to mobile conditions last time when just 2m from the winner BEACHRIDE he lands the gate and options to throw it down.
OUR DICKIE BART (8) made it three on end last start when sent forward to fond the front and once in control held on for a narrow victory. The gate makes it a tough ask, but he is up to it.
REAL TIN TIN (4) has flashed some early hustle at his past two starts, the latest when finding cover and then grabbing silver behind MY ULTIMATE FLYNN. He can chime in again here.
SELECTIONS: FACT FINDER (3), GEM PUNTER PETE (1), OUR DICKIE BART (8), REAL TIN TIN (4)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-3 / 1-3-4-8-9
RACE FOUR
Sectionally superb in two runs back from a spell, the marble finally falls in favour of JIMARTEE (1) to capitalise. Only a half-head from TIMS A TROOPER when resuming, he was making late ground behind LEAP TO FAME second up. He has the options to cash in.
SPEAK THE TRUTH (2) was given an ambitious task when tackling the Blacks A Fake first up from a spell, ultimately finishing in 5th place behind DON HUGO. Chasing home for 2nd behind LEAP TO FAME second up, he is five weeks between runs here, but has the gate and class to challenge.
TIMS A TROOPER (3) lifted off the canvas to score when he looked spent here two starts back and last start was best of the rest behind his illustrious stablemate LTF. He is never out of it.
IM THE FALCON (5) will be first up for the Turpin stable off the back of an impressive trial where he attacked the line from deep field with plenty of grunt. Positioning cheaply will be the key.
SELECTIONS: JIMARTEE (1), SPEAK THE TRUTH (2), TIMS A TROOPER (3), IM THE FALCON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JIMARTEE (1) to win
RACE FIVE
Carted back in the early stages by runners to her inside when trying to find position here last week, THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (6) ended near the rear. Still only 4m from the winner after an inspired raid, her effort chasing HOT AND TREACHEROUS two back was solid and she can look to bounce back.
SHES A WARRAWEE (3) was ultra impressive at her first appearance here in the Sunshine State last week when overcoming the outsides second line at the mile. Put into attack mode early, she found the front and pulled away to post a 30m victory in a slick 1.51.3 when first up in five weeks. Stepping up, she can throw it down.
MULLUM RUBY (1) was buried away from this same gate last week before sprouting wings late in the stretch when a gap presented. Finishing 2m astern of the winner SOAP OPERA, she will be probing once again.
REASON TO SHINE (2) has been runner-up at her past three in succession the latest when grinding out a deficit of just a neck. This is another step up, but she can be close enough to feature.
SELECTIONS: THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (6), SHES A WARRAWEE (3), MULLUM RUBY (1), REASON TO SHINE (2)
SUGGESTED BET: THE VICAR OF DIBLEY (6) to win
RACE SIX
The gate and race conditions look to align for SWEET ADDITION (2) to capitalise here following a last start 3rd in midweek company. Eased from a wide gate before closing in good order on that occasion, the start prior was behind the in-form CALL TO ORDER. This looks ideal.
AURORA JOY (5) is never too far away and always produces consistency in her performances. Chasing for the bronze last start behind JENSVILLE, two back she was strong late when making good closing metres behind EYE SEE THESEASIDE. With the right trip, she can challenge.
A PERFECT DANCE (3) finally snared a breakthrough to take a qualifier here two starts back, finishing over the top of them after retreating early. A solid effort from a tough gate last start, she can flash some early hustle.
MISS FROUFROU (1) was beaten by gate 7 last week and should appreciate the big improvement to this alley. With the early speed to dictate her position, she can feature.
SELECTIONS: SWEET ADDITION (2), AURORA JOY (5), A PERFECT DANCE (3), MISS FROUFROU (1)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET ADDITION (2) to win
RACE SEVEN
Placed in three of her past four starts, HARPERVILLE (5) might have found the right race to break her qualifying status. Best of the chasers from a second line gate here last week as SHES A WARRAWEE put them to the sword, her effort two back when just 1m from the winner suggests this is within reach.
MISSED CONSEQUENCES (6) is three from four since switching barns with the miss producing a narrow 2nd when starting deep into the red. All three wins were at Redcliffe, the latest when overcoming the outside front line gate after being sent forward to dictate. This is the next step, but it is hard to knock winning form.
OUR MIKI DIVA (4) looked to have found her race last start but was unable to get across and from the running line could only produce a midfield finish. Settling handy gives her a podium chance.
SII SEMPRE TILLY (1) has the early speed to find her own position and has been thereabouts recently with four placings in six appearances since resuming. Runner-up when dictating two back, she is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: HARPERVILLE (5), MISSED CONSEQUENCES (6), OUR MIKI DIVA (4), SII SEMPRE TILLY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HARPERVILLE (5) to win
RACE EIGHT
Conditions look tailor made for IM BOO (2) to close the night with a victory here from the good gate in the small field. Not suited from gate 7 last week at 2138, he was setting the speed when holding on for the bronze behind CARBINEER two starts back. This looks like real wheelhouse areas.
HELLO I TEA (4) has not had much in his favour in recent starts, the latest when faced with a wide second line gate over the middle trip. Luckless on that occasion, he was trying to find running after easing to the rear the start prior. The small field size assists his challenging claims.
JEKAMIAS (5) was not too far behind the winner MY ULTIMATE FLYNN last time out, which followed a 3m 3rd behind the in-form OUR DICKIE BART. Despite the wide gate, he has some claims.
SELECTIONS: IM BOO (2), HELLO I TEA (4), JEKAMIAS (5)
SUGGESTED BET: IM BOO (2) to win
