Race 1:
OVERVIEW: SERG BLANCO (10) hasn’t had much racing recently but he is clearly the class horse of the field and will take beating if he is somewhere near his peak form. He hasn’t started since a second at Menangle in August but he did win a trial at Shepparton last week. IDEAL ESCAPE (9) is first up since June and hasn’t been to the trials but like SERG BLANCO (10), he does appear to be well graded in this event. His form tapered off at the end of his last campaign but he was competitive at open class level when he was racing at his peak. INVITATION ONLY (4) began quickly to find the lead and was run down at the end when third at Wagga last week. He should be fitter from that performance and is worth another chance. GYPSY PRINCESS (3), VEE EM GEE MACRAY (5) and OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (8) are all capable of showing up without surprising.

Race 2:
OVERVIEW: GOODTIME STRYKER (3) is a very quick beginner and is a good chance of finding the lead despite the first six horses drawn on the front line all having terrific gate speed. He led and was gunned down late at Hamilton but he will take catching over the shorter trip here. SPUN SILVER (2) has won twice over the 1200m by utilizing his gate speed and he is perfectly drawn for this assignment so he should be prominent throughout. ISLAND CAESAR (6) has been racing in good form and likes to run along at a genuine tempo. He will probably end up being without cover from his wide draw but he was placed over the sprint distance last week. FOREGONE CONCLUSION (4) fought on well after racing without cover when third behind Torque Power last outing. He is usually competitive against this class and is worth an investment.

Race 3:
OVERVIEW: ULTIMATE JOY (8) trailed the leader and just failed when a narrow second behind All Blazing Guns in a slick mile rate of 1.53.5 at Geelong. Her previous two attempts were in strong Super Series events so she appears to be very well placed under these conditions. RACING WRITER (2) is racing consistently and looms as one of the leading chances. He ran along at a genuine tempo and was gunned down late when second at Wagga last week and he was third in the race won by All Blazing Guns prior. AMERICAN VICTORY (1) will appreciate her best draw in four career starts when she steps out from the pole position. She tried to sustain a long run when a game third at Ballarat last week so she must be respected. BLACKINDEED (4) took on a strong field when a creditable fourth behind Heavenly Brigade last outing and is not without a chance.

Race 4:
OVERVIEW: INDI PARTY MOOD (1) was an eye-catching third at his latest Melton trial performance and appears to have ability. He is ideally drawn and should run a good race. CARRY ON CORNISH (8) showed good gate speed to lead at a recent trial second and she finished just behind INDI PARTY MOOD (1) at her latest trial fourth. She has a nice trailing draw so she is not without a chance. ANOTHER COLLECT (7) settled at the back of the field and ran into a distant third behind Viney at his latest trial performance. Sectionally, his effort was very good so he must be included amongst the leading chances. SLOANIE BEL (4) worked home reasonably well for third at Bendigo last outing and YAWOMA (5) showed very good gate speed to lead from a wide draw at his latest attempt.

Race 5:
OVERVIEW: VINEY (6) is resuming since a debut fifth in a heat of the Nutrien series in April but he showed brilliant acceleration at the end of his latest runaway trial victory so he is sure to be strongly fancied. OLLIES MEDAL (7) stormed home from a long way back when an eye-catching second behind Yankee Rain at his debut. He obviously has ability and is worth following. IN AN IDEAL WORLD (1) possesses early pace and is racing in well enough to figure in the finish. He progressed forward to race without cover when a brave third behind Alifetimeforliving at his latest attempt. ZENARIO (2) went to the line jogging with no clear run and was unlucky when fifth at his debut performance. He has ability and rates as a value hope.

Race 6:
OVERVIEW: SILENT REVERIE (2) is racing well, possesses early speed and has the advantage of race fitness over one of her main rivals in LADY BE LUCKY (3) so she is worth an investment. She missed out over the short 1200m journey last week but was placed against similar grade in her two efforts prior. LADY BE LUCKY (3) comes into this race being first up without a trial but she was competing against strong opposition at the end of her last campaign so she must be kept safe. APRIL SUN (7) broke stride at the start and lost his chance in a heat of the Victoria Derby on Sunday. His first up performance for third was sound so he is worth another chance. MOJITO MADNESS (5) is a speedy type that has been placed at his past two attempts against similar opposition and must be included amongst the leading chances.

Race 7:
OVERVIEW: DALEY WATERS (7) has a few gait issues but she is the class runner of the field and will take beating if she gets away safely. She galloped away and lost her winning chance last week but her recent third placed effort in the Super Series Silver event is a very good form pointer for this event. THE SKY IS THE LIMIT (3) has struck peak form and is a good chance of completing a hat trick. She sustained a strong run to win clearly at Melton last week and is meeting a field of very similar standard here. ATM ACCOUNT (4) is very similar to DALEY WATERS (7) in the fact she has a lot of ability but is still learning. She galloped away at her first start since May but she has too much ability to dismiss. The fast beginner KYVALLEY SURFRIDER (2), BALTIC SPIRIT (5) and TUBS NOW SLIM (6), which also makes a lot of errors, are all worth thought in a race where good manners might be the key to the result.

Race 8:
OVERVIEW: BONA KHAN (5) began brilliantly to lead from the same draw last week and he won very easily at the end. This is a field of more depth but he is likely to find the lead again and the distance of 1200m does appear to be very suitable for him. INDI AIR TONIGHT (6) progressed forward to race without cover and was able to grind out a victory at Melton last outing. She is racing well and should make her presence felt. FERRIGNO (9) began quickly to find the lead and held off his rivals to win in his 1200m event last week. He is unlikely to head off BONA KHAN (5) at the start here but his two efforts over the 1200m to date have been very good so he is worth thought again. MR TEDDY (4) will be relying on a fast tempo throughout but he will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment so he is not without a chance.
