Rich Incentives for SA Sale Graduates

Graduates of the Australian Pacing Gold Adelaide Yearling Sale, to be conducted at Gawler Harness Racing Club on Sunday at 1pm, will be eligible for a $40,000 mixed sex race for two-year-olds in 2027. Furthermore, a $10,000 bonus will be paid to the connections of the first horse across the line of the opposite sex to the winner.

A $10,000 mixed sale race will be staged for three-year-olds in 2028.

The 17 catalogued lots are all eligible for the Southern Cross series and most are staked for the lucrative Vicbred Super Series.

The progeny of nine different stallions representing eight vendors will go up for auction.

Champion sire Art Major has three entries, Stay Hungry has two, the leading South Australian sire Major Secret (6), Ultimate Sniper (2) and Bettor’s Delight, the USA 3YO Colt of the Year Pebble Beach and the successful colonial bred stallions For A Reason, The Storm Inside and Tiger Tara one each.

Among the dams represented are the SA BOTRA Pace winner Purple Royale, the Mermaid Stakes victor Reil Quick and the sub 2:00 mares Kash NZ, Our Burning Desire NZ, Tiddly Winx, Rosiano, Blue Beach Angel, Closure, Crown Royale, Mamma Kass and Whirly Girly.

The sale features half-brothers or sisters to the Southern Cross winners No Notthebuttons and Brighton, the SA Silver Salver and Sapling Stakes winner Star Man, the SA Kindergarten and Sapling Stakes winner Rupert Ross, the WA cup class pacer Gee Smith, the Vicbred 2YO Silver winner The Huntress and the Mermaid Stakes victor Quick Dip.

The sale will be preceded by a yearling parade at 11am.
