In-form three-year-old filly Might And Temerity will be chasing her fifth win on end when she lines up in the Racing Connect Pace (2090m) in Hobart on Sunday night.

The filly was placed in one of seven starts in New South Wales before arriving in the state where she is yet to be beaten.

Mitch Ford has been in the sulky of the Bianca Heenan-trained pacer for three of her four wins and was quick to acknowledge the filly’s rise in grade for Sunday’s race.

“She has been going good and is up in grade now,” Ford said.

“All of her runs to date have been respectable and has beaten some nice horses.

“She has drawn the second row and is in the mix again. Being a three-year-old filly getting up in class, you have to respect your opponents a bit more, and there are some horses in the race that have been going well,” the driver explained.

Sunday’s eight-race card that commences at 16:52 also sees many Tasbred four-year-olds continue their preparations towards next week’s heats of the Raider Stakes and Granny Smith in Launceston.

Meanwhile, Mitch Ford will be in Queensland on Saturday night, partnering Group 1 Tasmania Cup winner Jorge Street in the Group 2 Redcliffe Cup, where he is one of the outsiders in early betting.

The Captaintreacherous gelding finished sixth after leading in the Sheffield Cup when first up in Launceston on 25 May and has won recent trials at Albion Park and Redcliffe.

“I thought his trials had been okay.

“Winning the Group 1 Tassie Cup has put him off 10m, which makes it a bit sticky.

“I will head back up next week and drive him in the first heat of the Inter Dominion,” said Mitch.
