Multiple Group 1 winner Michael Formosa has driven more than 1200 winners and looks set to add to that record at Newcastle tonight.

Formosa has four drives on the eight-race program, three of which on horses he trains.

There has been a shift in Formosa’s stable recently with his daughter Chloe moving north to work in Queensland at top trainer Grant Dixon’s stables.

The 17-year-old started her career under her father’s guidance and then spent a stint working for thoroughbred trainer Mark Newnham.

Since returning to the harness racing ranks, Chloe has remained unbeaten in her two drives in the Sunshine State.

This has paved the way for Formosa to utilise the skills of up-and-coming reinswoman Grace Panella who will drive for the Hunter Valley horseman at Menangle tomorrow night on Major Bob.

Formosa won on the pacer at Newcastle last month, contributing to the eight winners he has driven this season.

The iForm best bets for Friday:

Unlucky not to finish nearer at Menangle and does rate highly.

Wagga best bet

Race 7: Trouville (5)

Very strong in winning last time.  Can press forward and out-stay them again.

Parkes best bet
