Standing Start Education Trials available from: Friday 17/03/2023

Standing Start Qualifying Trials available from: 24/03/2023

Mobile Start Education Trials available immediately

Mobile Start Qualifying Trials available from: 7/03/2023

Standing start education sessions and qualifying trials available at Albion Park each Friday, Tuesdays if no Friday trials are scheduled and at standalone trial days scheduled April 17, May 29, June 12 and June 26.

Mobile start education sessions and qualifying trials available Albion Park each Tuesday and at standalone trials scheduled April 17, May 29, June 12 and June 26.

Requirements for standalone trotters education trial:

  • Minimum 2 starters (Mobile)
  • Minimum 2 starters (Stand)
  • Open to all 2YO or 3YO trotters and unraced trotters of any age
  • Should minimum starter numbers not be achieved trotters can compete in any standard education session which are also open to pacers

Requirements for standalone trotters qualifying trial:

  • Minimum 2 starters (Mobile)
  • Minimum 2 starters (Stand)
  • Open to all 2YO or 3YO trotters and unraced trotters of any age
  • Should minimum starter numbers not be achieved trotters can compete in any standard qualifying trial which may include trotters and / or pacers with race experience.

RQ willing to take advice and work with participants as to preferred education or qualifying trial distance.

Racing schedule

  • 2YO Trotting races programmed each Tuesday at Albion Park from May 2 (stand start)
  • 3YO Trotting races programmed each Tuesday at Albion Park from April 11 (stand start)
  • 3YO Trotting races programmed each Friday at Albion Park from April 14 (mobile start)

Minimum of 4 trotters required to achieve a race.

To achieve racing opportunities for young trotters 2YO’s and / or 3YO’s may be combined with older maiden trotters or less experienced trotters. (Handicapping method to be determined)

In some cases, programming alterations may be made at short notice to assist in achieving racing opportunities for juvenile trotters.

New feature race scheduled in December to enhance racing opportunities for juvenile trotters through to the end of the season.

  • 19/08/2023 - 3YO QBRED Final - $51,000 - MS
  • 26/09/2023 - 2YO Springboard Final $15,600 - SS
  • 26/09/2023 - 3YO Springboard Final $15,600 – SS
  • 19/12/2023 – 2YO Feature $15,600 – SS
  • 19/12/2023 – 3YO Feature $15,600 - MS
