RACE 8 – JIM PHILLIPS MEMORIAL COBRAM PACING CUP (GROUP 3) (2678MS)
Russell Jack, trainer of Blue Chip Delight NZ advised subsequent to a poor performance at Cobram on 9 January 2022, that he was still awaiting veterinary results. Mr.Jack added that Blue Chip Delight NZ has been sent for a short let up.
Shepparton – 15 January 2022
RACE 3 – BARASTOC PACE (1690MS)
Glenn Douglas, stable representative of Rocco Americano, advised following a disappointing performance at Shepparton on 15 January 2022, that the gelding pulled up well and had a light week of training. Mr.Douglas stated a decision on the current preparation of Rocco Americano will be made over the coming days.
RACE 4 – GRAHAM HEAD MEMORIAL 3YO PACE (2190MS)
Emma Stewart, trainer of Torpedo Bart, advised following a disappointing performance at Shepparton on 15 January 2022, that the colt had returned to the stable of Gary Barton. Mr.Barton is awaiting results of blood tests and will give Torpedo Bart a light couple of weeks before making a decision on the current preparation.
RACE 7 – NEATLINE HOMES SEPPARTON GOLD CUP (GROUP 2) (2690MS)
Peter Hanson, trainer of Mach Da Vinci NZ advised following a disappointing performance at Shepparton on 15 January 2022, that the horse had recovered well. Mr.Hanson stated that Mach Da Vinci NZ had simply pulled far too hard and the horse will continue with the current preparation.
Hamilton – 16 January 2022
RACE 7 – WALKERS EARTHWORKS HAMILTON PACE (2160MS)
Paddy Lee, trainer of Jilliby Selwood, advised following a disappointing performance at Hamilton on 16 January 2022 that the stable was awaiting results of blood tests. Mr.Lee stated Jilliby Selwood will have a light week of training and a decision on the current preparation will be made once results of the blood tests are received.
RACE 10 – DI BARKER MEMORIAL PACE (2160MS)
David Murphy, trainer of Sportsseal, advised following a disappointing performance at Hamilton on 16 January 2022 that the mare had recovered well. Mr.Murphy stated Sportsseal may have performed below expectations due to the hot conditions, and will now have a short let up before continuing with the current preparation.
