2022 Tasmanian Harness Sale catalogue online

The catalogue for the 2022 Tasmanian Harness Yearling Sale – the auction that produced last year’s outstanding juvenile Mickey Oh - has been unveiled and will present a strong lineup of racing future stars.

The sale will be conducted by Tasracing at Carrick Park on Saturday, March 5.

It features lots by leading sires Sweet Lou, Always B Miki, Downbytheseaside, A Rocknroll Dance, Sportswriter, Betting Line, Warrawee Needy, Changeover and Stonebridge Regal and the up-and-coming sires Vincent and Mel Mara.

There’s a half-brother to the Tasmanian Sweepstakes winner Mays Place, Rockandahardplace and Karalta Dazzler ($184,403), the Raider Stakes winner Watchmylips, Angel Or Demon (Tas. Mother of Pearl and Matron Stakes) and Streitkid 1:52.9 ($137,441) and a sister to the multiple classics placegetter Stepping Stones.

Progeny of the smart racemares Step Up And Play (Golden Slipper), Karalta Crown (Evicus Stakes), Vouvray Beach (Tas. Sweepstakes and Blue Bonnet), Iden Princess (Belmont), Shelbyville 1:54.5 ($108,852), Belliciouslips (1:55.9), Itz Gemmas Delight, Lady Elaine (Tas. Sales Classic) and Angel Or Demon will go up for auction.
