Junior driver Josh Gallagher started the week strong driving eight winners so far.
These results pushed his total wins to 299 and the Menangle-based reinsman has a strong chance to add to that at Newcastle tonight with drives in almost every race.
Gallagher has eight drives across the nine-race card.
He drove a double at Newcastle on Monday and the night prior to that at Penrith drove a treble.
The good results flowed at Menangle on Tuesday where Gallagher drove another double plus another winner at Penrith last night.
The 2019 Rising Stars champion began his driving career in the 2017/18 season and this term is by far his best.
Gallagher’s recent results saw him reach a century of winners this season – the most winners he has driven in term.
Only five other drivers have reached 100 winners or more this season in New South Wales including Cameron Hart, Amanda Turnbull, Jack Callaghan, Jack Trainor and one of Gallagher’s mentors, Robert Morris.
